  • IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund Supports Mr. Jeevan Deep Vishwakarma

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund Committee has unanimously decided to extend the financial assistance of 20,000 INR to Mr. Jeevan Deep Vishwakarma of HJ, 2016-17 Batch who had sought help from IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund. The Committee had a virtual meeting today to discuss the issue and approved the maximum amount of assistance one alumni can get under the scheme.

    Mr. Jeevan, recovering after surgery, is struggling to settle his hospital bills while his IIMC friends are trying to ease his monetary stress by raising funds via social media. 

    Mr. Jeevan becomes first beneficiary of IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund which was launched in May, 2019 with 10% of total sponsorship of Connections 2019.

  • Kochi- Kerala Chapter Meeting & IIMCAA Scholarships | 13 July, 2019

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association's Kerala chapter will host a small get together to award the IIMCAA Scholarships 2019 at Lotus Club, Presidents Room, Kochi on 13 July at 5.00 PM.

    Malayalam Journalism students of IIMC South India Campus, Kottayam would be handed over the cheque of scholarships of 25000 INR each. Those who will receive 1st IIMCAA Scholarships 2019 are, Ms Teenu Thomas, Ms Noora T and Mr. Anand TA.

  • Ranchi- Jharkhand Chapter Meeting MoM, 26 June, 2019

    Dear IIMCians,

    Jharkhand Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met on 26 June, 2019 in Rachi. The meeting presided over by the President Mr. Manoj Kumar. The single point agenda as proposed by the Treasurer of the chapter was discussed. It was decided to make a request to all honourable members of the chapter to deposit their annual fee of Rs. 1000.00 (Rs. One Thousand Only) for the year 2019-20 latest by 15th of July, 2019.  

    The chapter expressed its concern over the issue of deposit of fee. Last year, inspite of repetitive reminder, some members were left behind in depositing their annual fee.

    The list of members will be modified and published soon in the group.

    The chapter is looking for new area/ field for the social service and would like to focus more on the issue of Child Education & Child Labour

    The Chapter appreciated the scheme of IIMCAA Scholarships for needy students.

  • IIMCAA Scholarships 2019: List of 11 Students for IIMCAA Scholarships of 25000 INR Each

    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association, at the June 23 meeting, has selected 11 students of PG Diploma Courses of 2018-19 for IIMCAA Scholarships of 25000 INR each. 96 students have got financial support from IIMC, out of the 128 students who had applied for fee waiver. IIMCAA considered the cases of remaining 32 students and selected the following students from different course and campuses for IIMCAA Scholarship.

  • IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund Rules and Criteria

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association has established IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund for IIMC alumni from current financial year (2019-20). This fund will help to meet the medical expenses for those who may find hard to bear such expenses. The central committee has allotted 5 Lakh INR for the FY 2019-20 with an aim to help at least 25 alumni in need.

    The following IIMCAA members are part of the IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund Committee which will deal with applications.

    Rules & Criteria

    1. IIMC Alumni, having completed PG Diploma course at IIMC, can apply and get benefits under this scheme. Applicants should seek reimbursement only as per rules listed below. No advance or urgent assistance request will be considered.

    2. Applicants can seek assistance only against IPD and Emergency medical bills. OPD is excluded and won’t be considered. Those who are entitled to medical coverage from employer or self shall not be eligible for the IIMCAA Medical Assistance.

    3. Recommendations from 3 Registered Members of IIMCAA or 1 Lifetime Member of IIMCAA is mandatory for submission of request. Applicant may request IIMCAA Members to write to alumni.iimc@gmail.com for the same from their registered email id. State chapter/ Sub chapter resolution duly passed by a meeting will serve the purpose.

    4. Medical Documents Required: A. Prescription B. Medical Report C. Bills D. Discharge Slip E. Payment Slip.

    5. Income Documents Required: An alumnus with less than 4,00,000 INR annual income is eligible to apply for the fund. Documents List-

    A. 6 Months bank statement of salary account/ account receiving payments for freelance/ consultancy works.
    B. IT return of previous year
    C. Pay Slip, if applicable
    D. Self Declaration stating annual income and no medical insurance coverage, duly signed by the applicant

    6. The subject line of the email should be – IIMCAA Medical Fund Request (Name, dept, batch, current city).

    7. All documents should be self attested, scanned and submitted electronically via e-mail to alumni.iimc@gmail.com

    8. Any application not in compliance with rule no 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 will be rejected without furnishing any reason. Seeking documents will not be the liability of IIMCAA. Supplying all required documents will be the responsibility of the applicant only.

    9. An applicant may get maximum assistance of 20,000 INR in one year and not more than 50% of his/ her medical bills.

    10. IIMCAA will decide the final amount of assistance based on its assessment of reports and other relevant documents. It will hand over cheque of approved amount to the beneficiary.

    11. IIMCAA reserves the right to reject all/ any application without furnishing any reason.

    12. Allocated fund for a specific financial year shall be consumed during the aforesaid period only or returned back to IIMCAA. It will not be carried forward to next financial year fund. Total pay-out shall not exceed 25% of the total fund per quarter effectively making 25% fund available for disbursement each quarter. Lapsed fund of one quarter will be added to next quarter but at the end of the financial year, lapsed fund will be surrendered back to the central committee for IIMCAA organisational expenses.

    13. List of beneficiaries will be published on IIMCAA Website www.iimcaa.org with amount.

    14. The IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund Committee will meet every month to consider and decide the applications. It can meet whenever it feels the requirement, in case of an emergency.

    15. The IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund Committee and/ or the Central Committee can overlook any/ all above rules to help alumni in extraordinary medical situations.

    16. The IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund Committee and/ or the Central Committee can change any/ all rules at any stage.

    17. The Central Committee can discontinue the IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund any time without furnishing any reason and absorb the fund, if any.

  • Annual Alumni Meet Connections 2020 on February 2nd, 1st Sunday of February

    Dear IIMCians,

    The Central Committee met on 2 June, 2019 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi. IIMCAA President Mr. Prasad Sanyal presided over the meeting that was attended by members of the committee and active members of the IIMCAA.

    Minutes of the Meeting:

    1. Series of Annual Alumni Meets- Connections will start on 1st Sunday of February starting next year. IIMCAA had been hosting Connections on 3rd Sunday of February in Delhi since 2013. Connections 2020 will open on February 2nd in Delhi. Annual Meets calendar will be prepared and shared in December, 2019.

    2. The Central Committee approved the draft rules and criteria, for IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund, prepared after discussion in CC Meeting of May month. The notification for the fund will be issued separately.

  • CC Allocates 5 Lakhs for IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund, 50000 for IIMCAA Scholarships

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Central Committee met on 24 February, 2019 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi. IIMCAA President Mr. Prasad Sanyal presided over the meeting that was attended by members of the committee and active members of the IIMCAA.
    Minutes of the Meeting 
    1. CC termed the Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2019 and IFFCO IIMCAA Awards 2019 Function at IIMC HQ on February 17th, 2019 a success.
    2. CC discussed the available funds for chapter meets. It decided to drop plans to host Connections 2019 in four cities that includes Bengaluru, Dubai, Kathmandu and Tashkent. Respective chapters may host the meet if they are willing to do so.
    3. CC discussed the total sponsorship amount for Connections 2019 and allocated 5 Lakhs for IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund in 2019.
    4. CC discussed IIMCAA Scholarships and allocated 50,000 INR for two scholarships by IIMCAA. There will be total 10 scholarships of 25000 INR each in 2019 with the help of alumni and well wishers of IIMC.
    5. CC rejects all allegations levelled by the Jharkhand Chapter vide resolutions passed on February 17 and 24, 2019 as baseless. Further, we express anguish at the intemperate language used and inappropriate attitude demonstrated in these resolutions.
    Mr. SK Dubey has been authorised by the Jharkhand chapter to interact and decide on their behalf. The Central Committee also resolved to authorise Mr. Dubey on their behalf, to mitigate the issues in an appropriate manner.
