  • MoM | Indore Sub Chapter Meeting | 25 December, 2013

    Dear IIMCians,
    First meeting of IIMCAA, Indore Sub Chapter was held on December 25 at ICH University Campus. It was attended by Archana Somshekhar (EJ 1991-92) and Gaurav Shrivastava (EJ 2004-05).
    Other Alumni in the city expressed their inability to attend the meeting due to unavoidable circumstances.
    It was decided that greater efforts will be made to reach out the alumni in the city. Also, next meeting will be held sometime early in the coming year.

  • MoM | UP Chapter Meeting | 22 December, 2013

    Dear IIMCians,
     
    Verdant surroundings of Lohia Park, the warm winter sun and a piping, hot cuppa to break the ice- there was not a single dull moment, as 12 Alumni of the IIMC got together for the third meet of the IIMC Alumni Association’s Uttar Pradesh Chapter, held at state capital Lucknow on Sunday, December 22, 2013.
    The following IIMCians attended the meet:
    1) Santosh Valmiki 2) Pankaj Jha 3) Md Arshi Rafique 4) Anurag Shukla 5) Ramendra Singh 6) Bhai Shelly 7) Kamlesh Rathore 8) Deepika Sati 9) Chetan Sharma 10) Shubhi Chanchal 11) Deepika Singh 12) Zara Ali.
    The event kickstarted with an introductory session after which each alumnus took the centrestage to suggest ways on strengthening the IIMC family in Uttar Pradesh. Following were the important issues, suggestions and decisions that came up in the meeting:
    – Owing to the busy schedule of erstwhile Organisation Secretary Marinder Mishra and transfer of Treasurer Laxmi Shankar Mishra to Rajasthan, Kamlesh Rathore was handed over the charge of both the posts. (Incidentally, Kamlesh’s husband Bhai Shelly is also an IIMCian, which make them a part of IIMC’s ever-expanding ‘Campus Wale Couple’ group!)
    – It was decided that a formal re-launch of the chapter should be held next year (tentative date January 19).
    – With the payment of membership fees, most of the IIMCians enrolled themselves as formal members of the chapter. It was decided that a bank account would be opened exclusively for the chapter.
    – It was suggested to invite Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in one of the subsequent meetings, where he could be urged to consider undertaking efforts for setting up an IIMC branch in Uttar Pradesh to cater to the needs of the students here.
    – It was also suggested that IIMCians could invite their friends and family to an IIMC picnic, which can be held sometime next year.

  • MoM | IIMCAA, MP Chapter Meeting | 22 December, 2013

    Dear IIMCians,

    Madhya Pradesh Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at Indian Coffee House in Bhopal on December 22. The meeting was presided over by President Rashmi Chouhan.
    Those present in the meeting were: Rashmi Chouhan, President, Anurag Chaubey, General Secretary, Shilpa Baburaj, Surabhi Nigam, Nanditta Chhibber, Ramani Ranjan Mahapatra, Vishakha Rajurkar Raj, Kuldeep Soni & Devendra Meena.
    Minutes of The Meeting:
    Appointments: 
    – Since the posts of Secretary and Treasurer were vacant, Shilpa Baburaj was appointed the Secretary for the chapter and Kuldeep Soni the Treasurer. 
    The officer-bearers, therefore, for MP chapter are:
    Rashmi Chouhan – President
    Anurag Chaubey – General Secretary
    Shilpa Baburaj – Secretary
    Kuldeep Soni – Treasurer
    It was decided that the office bearers would work as a team to organize any meeting or programme henceforth and work towards strengthening the network in the state.
    Active Networking:
    – The participants were of the opinion that Madhya Pradesh being a large state can have sub chapters at localized level too.
    – Though the chapter has a Facebook Group, it was decided that a strong database be set up within the FB closed group having general and contact information of IIMCians present in the state.
    – It was proposed that apart from merely serving networking goal, we associate yet another purpose with the association, that is, help out new students who are fresh to a place or an organization. The attendees gave their opinion and ideas for the same.
    Next meeting
    – The next meeting is likely to be held in February.
    Alumni Meet
    – The chapter, its team and IIMCians here are all geared up for the Annual Alumni Meet to be held in February. Almost 80% of the attendees gave their consent for the same.
    National Council: 
    – The association members in the state would put forward their opinion on National Council at the earliest. If not by meeting personally, the ideas would be shared through close group of Madhya Pradesh chapter in Facebook.
