  • Delhi- CC MoM | IIMCAA Approved 6 Million INR Budget for Connections 2019

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on 28 October, 2018. IIMCAA President Mr. Prasad Sanyal presided over the meeting that was attended by Ex General Secretary Mr. Mihir Ranjan, Treasurer Mr. Animesh Biswas, Ex Treasurer Ms. Deeksha Saksena, Organisation Secretary Mr. Ritesh Verma, Ex Organisation Secretary Mr. Pratham Dwivedi, CC Members Mr. Govinda Mishra, Mr. Nitin Dagar, Ms. Megha Shaw, PHHP General Secretary Mr. Muni Shankar Pandey and Senior Alumna Ms. Simrat Gulati.
    Minutes of the Meeting:-
    1. The central committee has approved an 8 stage 6 million INR budget to host Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2019 and IIMCAA Awards 2019. AGM 2018 has mandated to set aside 10% sponsorship income every year to launch IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund from 2019.

    2. IIMCAA Awards 2019 notification to be made on December 1st, 2018. IIMCAA will invite entries for IIMCAA Awards 2019 in more than 30 categories this year. 
    3. CC has constituted a Five Member Committee headed by Ms. Simrat Gulati, to finalise the categories of IIMCAA Awards 2019. Members of the committee are- Ms. Simrat Gulati, Mr. Harshendra Singh Verdhan, Mr. Gaurav Dikshit, Mr. Reetesh Anand and Ms. Sneha Sneha Bhattacharjee.
    4. CC has constituted a committee, headed by Mr. Mihir Ranjan, to frame the rules and conditions for IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund. Members of the committee are- Mr. Mihir Ranjan, Mr. Harshendra Singh Verdhan, Mr. Animesh Biswas, Mr. Ritesh Verma and Ms. Deeksha Saksena.

  • MoM | Annual General Meeting- All Hands Meet 2018 | 7 October, 2018

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Annual General Body Meeting- All Hands Meet- of IIMC Alumni Association took place at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on October 7th, 2018. Executive President Mr. Anand Bhushan presided over the meeting that was attended by President Elect Mr. Prasad Sanyal and others. 
    Mr. KG Suresh, DG- IIMC and Patron- IIMCAA, graced the Annual General Meeting as Chief Guest. Mr. Suresh, talking about new initiatives of IIMC, called upon IIMCAA to start scholarship for the students of IIMC in need. Mr. Suresh termed alumni as brand ambassador of the institute and assured all possible cooperation in connecting alumni. 
    Prof. Gita Bamezai, Election Commissioner 2018, adressed the meeting as well and congratulated the new central committee led by Mr. Sanyal. Organisation Secretary Mr. Vijay Pandey presented the General Secretary Report on behalf of Mr. Mihir Ranjan while Treausrer Ms. Deeksha Saksena presented audit report for FY 2017-18. Both reports were accepted by the AGM unanimously.
    Resolutions of Annual General Meeting 2018 
    1. The AGM adopted the reports tabled by General Secretary and Treasurer. General Secretary report would be published with minutes of the meeting of Annual General Meeting while Treasurer report would be published in Connections 2019 Souvenir traditionally.
    2. The AGM adopted the proposal to set up National Council as per the new constitution. All CC Members, All Chapters/ Sub Chapters President and General Secretary, All Founding Members and All Ex CC Presidents and General Secretaries will become members of the National Council- supreme policy making body of IIMCAA.
    3. The AGM Adopted the proposal to abolish advisory board membership. An amendment to the constituion will be carried out for the same and amended constituion will be submitted to the registrar of the societies.
    4. The AGM adopted the proposal to abolish registration fees for IIMCAA Events including Annual Alumni Meet- Connections begining 2019. IIMCAA will not seek or accept any fees in the name of any event anywhere. Alumni willing to help IIMCAA may contribute through Membership/ donations or may host the meetings on cost sharing basis.
    5. The AGM adopted the proposal to establish IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund, in principle, with 10% of total sponsorship revenue of Connections, every year. The CC has been asked to prepare proposal over fund management, beneficiaries, rules and restrictions. The National Council has been authorised to deliberate the proposal and decide its operationality.

Senior Alumna Ms. Simrat Kaur presided over the meeting that was attended by several alumni including Mr. Anupam Srivastav, Mr. Goutam Basu, Mr. Kalyan Ranjan, President Elect Mr. Prasad Sanyal, Executive President Mr. Anand Bhushan, Organisation Secretary Mr. Vijay Pandey, Treasurer Ms. Deeksha Saksena, Executive President Elect Mr. Reetesh Anand and Treasurer Elect Mr. Animesh Biswas.

  • MoM- Ranchi | Jharkhand Chapter Quarterly meeting | 30 September, 2018

    Dear IIMCians,
    Jharkhand Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at Ranchi Press Club on 30 September, 2018. Chapter President Mr. Manoj Kumar presided over the meeting that was attended by Vice President Mr. Amit Gupta, General Secretary Mr. Pranav Pratyush Das, Treasurer Mr. Kumar Rajesh, Oragnisation Secretary Ms. Puja Oraon, Senior Alumni Mr. Anupam Rana, Mrs. Manisha Singh, Mr. Santosh Oraon, Mr. Ranjeet Kumar, Mr. Onkar Pandey, Mr. Abhishek Kumar and Mr. Shambhu Nath. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Ranjeet and Mr. Onkar.
    Minutes of the Meeting
    1. In order to generate our own resources and to maintain a corpus fund with the State Chapter an unanimous decision has been taken to collect annual contribution of Rs 1000 (Minimum) from each member from now onwards. The contributions will be for calendar year for now.
    2. For various events including the Annual Alumni Meet- Connections Ranchi, each member will also try to get corporate sponsorship and other contributions from various bodies.
    3. Since we do not have a bank account in the name of IIMCAA, a joint account will be opened in the name of Mr. Kumar Rajesh, Mr. Santosh Oraon and Mr. Dev Vrat Singh. The signing authority will be any two of the three members. This account will continue till a new account in the name of State Chapter is opened.
    4. Mr. Anupam Rana, Mr. Onkar Pandey and Mr. Ranjeet Kumar will begin the process of registration of the State Chapter under Societies Registration Act so that the chapter has its own bank account and can function with set rules.
    5. The chapter has decided to go on a picnic at Netarhat on October 27-28, 2018 this year.
    6. Some new posts have been created/ modified in the meeting, which are as follows:
