  • Bennett University looking for faculty

    Bennett University is  looking for print journalists with a minimum of seven years of work experience in English language newspapers, and a passion to teach. This will be a hands on job, and the candidate will have to teach students how to write stories, edit stories, make pages, and assist them in bringing out a weekly campus paper.

  • MoM | Kanpur Sub Chapter Meeting | 4 June, 2017

    Dear IIMCians,
    Kanpur Sub-Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met in Kanpur on June 4th. Sub-Chapter President Mr. Praveen Mohta presided over the meeting that was attended by Mr. Sachin Dixit, Ms. Shikha Singh, Ms. Vrishali Jain and Mr. Avinash Dwivedi.
    Minutes of the Meeting:-
    – Ms. Vrishali Jain (2015-16) unanimously elected as General Secretary of Kanpur Sub-Chapter.
    – Mr. Anurag Gupta (2013-14) will continue as Treasurer.
    – Mr Sachin Dixit (2009-10), Ms. Shikha Singh (2009-10) and Mr Avinash Dwivedi (2015-16) will be Executive Members.
    – It has been decided that Sub-chapter members will meet again on 23rd July for a picnic on the outskirts of Kanpur.

  • MoM | Central Committee Meeting | 4 June, 2017

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met on June 4th, 2017 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi. President Mr. Suresh Kumar Vashishth presided over the meeting that was attended by Secretary Mr. Kaushal Vishwakarma, Treasurer Ms. Deeksha Saksena, Executive Member Mr. Madhur Kalra, Mr. Komal Badodekar. Founding Members Mr. Ritesh Verma and Mr. Anand Saurabh were also present in the meeting.
    Minutes of the Meeting:-
    1. Expanding IIMCAA Awards- The Central Committee has decided to raise the number of categories for IIMCAA Awards from 10 to 21 from 2018. Inaugural edition of IIMCAA Awards were open in 10 categories but awards were presented in 8 categories only in 2017. 
    Former IIMCAA President Mrs. Sunila Dhar will chair a IIMCAA Awards Expansion Committee which will suggest the categories to be added/ modified/ removed. Other members of the committee will be notified soon.
     
    2. Cross Representation of Chapters in State Level Connections- The Central Committee has decided to introduce cross representation of chapters in state level Annual Alumni Meet- Connections from 2018 to enhance chapter to chapter interactions. 
    Minimum two central representatives have been attending the state level meets so far. Out of these two representatives, one will be representative of the central committee while another one will be from a chapter duly selected by the respective chapter committee from next year. 
    Chapters will provide one representative name and five preferences of states in descending order. The central committee will select which state representative will attend which state meet.

  • MoM | Ahmedabad- Gujarat Chapter Meeting | 14 May, 2017

    Dear IIMCians,
    Gujarat Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met on 14 May at Jagannath Cultural Academy & Research Centre, Ahmedabad. Chapter President Mr. Pradeep Mallik presided over the meeting that was attended by General Secretary Mr. Arvind Kumar, Mr. Susim Mohanty, Mr. Sreepathy Hariprasad, Mr. Dheeraj Vashishtha, Mr. Kumar Anand, Mr. Prashant Kumar Sahoo and  Mr. Rahul Yadav.
    Minutes of the meeting:-
    – Review of Annual Meet- IFFCO Connections 2017
    – Annual membership
    – Discussed about reaching out to budding media professionals by conducting Live session. To begin with media students at colleges/ Institutes in Ahmedabad
    – Discussed about to have a Bank account for better management of fund collected by membership
    – Next chapter meet to happen in July, date and venue to be communicated later.

    Gujarat Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association will meet at Jagannath Cultural Academy & Research Centre, Near Shani Temple, Adalaj, SG Highway, Ahmedabad on 14th May, 2017 at 12.30 PM. Meeting will be followed by lunch which will cost 120 INR per person.
