FUNCTIONAL AND HIERARCHICAL LINES
Hierarchically working under the Head of Communications.
PURPOSE OF POST
The Web officer develops and maintains MSF India’s Drupal website including web design, implements site code and module updates, and builds pages, applications and mini-sites for the organization. S/he also provides technical support for the development, maintenance, and coordination of the multi-site, multi-lingual Drupal content management system (CMS), used by MSF India and the international MSF movement.
The Web officer also facilitates the publishing of content to meet the needs of various departments and offices at MSF India including Communications, Fundraising, Human Resources recruitment, the Association, Operations in order to promote awareness of MSF's activities in India and around the world (That includes on social media channels).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- MSF India website (www.MSFindia.in): Drupal development, content management, design and monitoring
– Performs content updates, site administration and maintenance for the public website (www.MSFindia.in);
– Optimize onsite content for maximum visibility and ranking in the major search engines. This includes HTML, site structure, as well as page layout and navigation
– trains staff on using the Drupal CMS;
– develops new Drupal content types and custom site functionality;
– monitors site traffic and present the analysis, ensures optimum performance, proper backup and security including the data;
– implement/code designs from Photoshop or similar design files.
– Stay up to date on the web’s latest technologies and think creatively to produce new ideas and design concept
- Other MSF India micro website: development, content management, design and monitoring (WordPress CMS)
– Performs content updates, site development, site administration and maintenance for MSF India micro site using WordPress.
– Optimize onsite content for maximum visibility and ranking in the major search engines. This includes HTML, site structure, as well as page layout and navigation
– Train staff on using WordPress CMS.

- International content store and shared CMS.
In collaboration with the international admin group, assists in the maintenance, growth, expansion of features, and technical support for the multisite Drupal platform of which MSF India is a part; performs platform testing, updates/upgrades, backups as needed; manages code changes and Git repository
- Digital and Social media
– Support the Online Fundraising and Social Media officer to create, manage and implement online advertising campaigns to drive traffic and maximise the online visibility of MSF India and increase online donations.
– Create banners and online advertising campaigns
– Contribute to the development of the MSF India social media strategy and support the Online Fundraising and Social Media officer to develop multimedia products and digital creative on the MSF India websites and social media channels.
- Departmental, Interdepartmental and International coordination
Attends staff meetings and international debates to brainstorm solutions and participate in information sharing across all departments and sections internationally.

Qualifications: Minimum a Graduate Degree.

Purpose of Post
To ensure that all written materials produced by MSF India are in line with the MSF India editorial guidelines and of the highest quality. These will include the www.MSFindia.in and campaign micro sites, newsletters, reports, press releases, briefing documents, web articles, social media posts, case studies, interviews, brochures/leaflets and opinion pieces.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Editing
- Proof reading and editing the content of www.MSFindia.in and campaign micro sites, MSF reports, press releases, briefing documents, web articles, case studies, interviews, brochures/leaflets, opinion pieces and other materials produced by MSF India to ensure that the content follows MSF India editorial guidelines and that the quality of written English is consistently high.
Writing
- Overseeing the production of two regular newsletters – an internal newsletter for MSF India staff (every three months), and an external e-newsletter for MSF India, supporters and the general public (monthly). This will include collecting content, writing and editing articles, selecting photos, liaising with the designer, and seeing content through the approval process.
- Ensuring that MSF India’s written communications materials are jargon-free, appropriate for the intended audience, and convey MSF India’s desired profile as well as the spirit and passion of the organisation.
- Writing stories of patients, MSF staff and expats from South Asia in order to raise public awareness.
- Writing web articles and web updates for the www.MSFindia.in and campaign micro sites.
- Developing and writing campaigns, fundraising, association and recruitment leaflets in order to best attract, engage and retain the respective target groups.
Management and administration
- Attending regularly scheduled meetings to share information, brainstorm solutions and coordinate priorities with the communications team, the MSF India office, the Access Campaign India, the PR and advocacy coordinator and MSF India operations.

Qualifications
