    Our Client highly respected and very large Media Conglomerate is looking candidates for News Sub Editor Role with English News Portal.  

     

    Position: Sub Editor/Sr. Sub Editor – English News Website

    (Fresher with excellent English writing skills can also apply for Sub Editor opening)

     

    No of openings: Four (4)

     

    Job Location: Sector-62, Noida (Behind Fortis Hospital)

     

    Job Role:

    1. Select news from national and international news agencies.

    2. Decide the structure of a news based on importance & relevance to the reader, decide the elements that can better highlight the news.

    3. Responsible to timely update news website.

    4. Churn out copies with no grammatical and factual errors.

    5. Responsible for the overall look and feel of the news website

     

    Desired Candidate Profile:

    1. Excellent News Sense.

    2. Experience of out put desk of Electronic Media/Online News Portal/Print Media.

    3. Excellent written English Communication.

     

    P.S:

    – Candidate should have excellent editing skills in English.

    – Good at Churning out news copies with no grammatical and factual errors.

    – Can commute on her/his own to Sector-62, Noida. (Behind Fortis Hospital)

    – Pick up Facility for early morning shift (7 am) and Drop facility for late night shift (2 am).

    – Shuttle service to metro station shall be provided for other shifts.

    – Candidates from Noida/ Ghaziabad/ East Delhi or willing to relocate to Noida/ Ghaziabad/ East Delhi would be preferred

    – Willing to work in rotational shifts/Night Shifts.

    – Shift Timings: 7 am to 3 pm, 12 noon to 8 pm, 6 pm to 2 am.

    – Two weeks five days working and two weeks six days working.

  • MoM | Bihar Chapter Meeting of 30 June, 2013

    Dear All,

    Bihar Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at Patna on 30 June, 2013. Here are minutes of the meeting.
    Present office bearers and members: Bholanath, KK Lall, Pramod Kaushik, Rajiv Ranjan, Vishal Gaurav, Satyavrat Mishra & Banjot Kaur.

    1. Members felt that there needs to be an effort to contribute towards the Uttarakhand flood relief. This issue should be taken up by the national body.
    2. It was decided that next meeting will be held on August 25. And a monthly meeting and quarterly get together of all member should be held
    3. Due to shifting of many members of IIMCAA, Bihar Chapter some of the key posts were left vacant. One of the key post held by Avinash Kumar Chanchal, Secretary (Organization) has been filled by Satyavrat Mishra.
    Avinash did a commendable work in building up the organization in Bihar. Welcome on board Satyavrat.
    4. For the national body, it was felt that office bearers of the state chapters need to brain storm a little more before finalising the draft. The move to form national body is a good move. It was proposed that state level office bearers may have voting rights. It was also pointed out that a national level voting through email, sms or postal ballots can be also a possibility.

  • MoM: MP Chapter Meeting | Bhopal | 23 June, 2013

    Dear IIMCians,

    Madhya Pradesh chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met on June 23 in Bhopal. President Rashmi Chouhan presided over the meeting. IIMCAA Vice president Abhinav Garg, General Secretary of Chapter Anurag Chaubey and Yogesh Gautam attended the meeting.

    Those present in the meeting shared contacts to get in touch with IIMCians who are in the city yet not a part of the association. 

    The date of the next meeting will be announced at the earliest. The chapter also looks forward to participation of other IIMCians in the city in the next meeting.

  • The Final Countdown…

    Dear All,
     
    That marks the end of this year’s posts on IIMC Entrance Counselling @ www.iimccounselling.blogspot.in
     
    The IIMC Alumni Association would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to all the alumni who took the trouble to write for the blog. For all those who contributed, we hope the process led you down memory lane.
     
    For all those who so religiously follow the blog we wish all the best, and hope at least some of you return to write posts, just like the ones you read, next year. 
     
    Of last batch’s toppers, 6 people from EJ, 5 from HJ, 6 from RTV, 7 from Ad-PR and 1 from OJ respectively who landed in the top 10, have contributed to this blog among others. For this we are grateful and proud.
     
    IIMC is not just an institute it is an institution (pun intended), and this blog is a small effort by the IIMCAA to bring all its alumni together and bind them for their mutual love of our Alma Mater.
     
    Finally we would like to congratulate all those who eventually clear the entrance, and hope that you will uphold the dignity of IIMC, and respect it’s 48 year old rich legacy. If we should be so crass as to offer you one advice we would say, "you will laugh, you will cry, but the friends you make at IIMC will last you a lifetime!"
