  • IMP: Navin Jha is Coordinator, Nepal Chapter

    Dear IIMCians,
     
    With the order of President Mr. Suresh Kumar Vashishth, Mr. Navin Jha (57th DJ Batch, 2011) is being appointed Coordinator for the Nepal Chapter. He will arrange the inception meeting of the chapter very soon in Kathmandu which would elect/ select office bearers of the Nepal Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association.
     
    All IIMCians working/ living in Nepal are requested to stay in touch with Navin. We will inform you the date, venue and time of the first meeting of the chapter once Navin communicate it to us.

  • CC MoM – 5 Augusst, 2018 | Chapters/ Sub Chapters Nominate Representatives to National Council

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met on August 5th, 2018 at IIMC HQ in New Delhi. Vice President Mr. Harendra Yadav presided over the meeting that was attended by Organisation Secretary Mr. Pratham Dwivedi, Secretary Mr. Kaushal Viswakarma, Treasurer Ms. Deeksha Saksena, Executive Members Mr. Komal Badodekar.
    Connections 2017 Principal Organiser Mr. Kalyan Ranjan, Connections 2018 Principal Organiser Mr. Nitin Pradhan, Founding Member Mr. Animesh Biswas, Mr. Ritesh Verma, Senior Alumni Mr. Sandeep Jha, Mr. Nadim Ram Ali, Mr. Mohit Kumar, Mr. Amit Yadav, Mr. Kumar Govind Krishna, Mr. Atul Gupta, Mr. Afzal Alam, Mr. Govinda Mishra, Mr. Dadan Viswakarma, Mr. Prabhat Upadhyay, Mr. Ankush Vats, Mr. Nitin Kumar, Mr. Rohit Pathak, Mr. Ajeet Gupta, Mr. Abhimanyu Kumar Saha, Mr. Mudit Sharma, Ms. Megha Shaw, Mr. Anil Kumar, Mr. Shankar Pandit, Mr. Jaseem Ul Haque and Mr. Akash Priyan were also present in the meeting.
    Minutes of the Meeting: 
    National Council
    1. The Central Committee has decided to seek name of two representatives for the first National Council from chapters/ sub chapters. IIMCAA Constitution allows each Chapter/ Sub Chapter to nominate its President and General Secretary or others two as a nominee to National Council. Chapters/ Sub Chapters are requested to send their nominations by 15 September, 2018. Any chapter/ sub chapter failing to do so by September 15th will be auto represented by President and General Secretary in the National Council.
    IIMCAA Elections 2018
    2. Meeting discussed the official panel, Prasad Sanyal Panel, for IIMCAA Elections 2018. Several Alumni present in the meeting expressed their interest to work for IIMCAA and get included in official panel. Final Panel will be decided by panel head Mr. Prasad Sanyal in consultation with current team and announced shortly.
    3. Prof. Dr. Gita Bamezai (1976-77 Batch), Head of the Communication Research Department at IIMC, will be the Election Commissioner for IIMCAA Elections 2018. 
    4. Mr. Raghuvinder Chawla will be Election Officer for IIMCAA Elections, 2018.
    IIMCAA Expansion- Nepal Chapter and Mizoram Sub Chapter
    5. Chapter formation process in Nepal is being initiated with the appointment of Mr. Navin Jha as Coordinator. Mr. Jha is 57th DJ Batch alumni passed out in 2011.

    6. Sub Chaper formation process in Mizoram is being initiated with the appointment of Ms. Ezrela Dalidia Fanaipari Fanai as Coordinator. Ms. Fanai is EJ, 2010-11 batch alumna. Mizorm Sub Chapter will function under North East Chapter of IIMCAA.

  • CC MoM – 1 July, 2018 | Mr. Prasad Sanyal to Head Official Panel in IIMCAA Elections, 2018

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met on July 1st, 2018 at IIMC HQ in New Delhi. 
    Founding Member Mr. Gaurav Dikshit presided over the meeting that was attended by Organisation Secretary Mr. Pratham Dwivedi, Treasurer Ms. Deeksha Saksena, Executive Members Mr. Komal Badodekar and Punjab-Haryana-Himachal-J&K Chapter General Secretary Mr. Muni Shankar Pandey. Mr. Prasad Sanyal, Mr. Ritesh Verma, Mr. Govinda Mishra and Mr. Brahmanand Mishra were also present in the meeting.
    Minutes of the Meeting: 
    1. The Central Committee has decided to propose official panel for IIMCAA Elections, 2018 led by Mr. Prasad Sanyal (RTV, Delhi | 2000-01 Batch). The panel will be called Prasad Sanyal Panel.
    2. The Central Committee has decided to include Mr. Anand Bhushan and Mr. Reetesh Anand as Executive Presidents, Mr. Harshendra Singh Verdhan as General Secretary, Mr. Ritesh Verma and Mr. Harendra Yadav as Organisation Secretaries and Mr. Animesh Biswas as Treasurer in Prasad Sanyal Panel.
    3. The Complete list of official panel will be announced in a phased manner in consultation with Presidential Candidate of official panel Mr. Prasad Sanyal.
    4. 17 Incumbent members and officials of the 25 members Central Committee would not figure in Prasad Sanyal panel since they have completed two consecutive terms in CC. IIMCAA Constitution doesn't allow second cosecutive term to the President and third consecutive term to anyone in the central committee.

  • MoM- Mumbai | Mr. Neeraj Bajpai Elected General Secretary, Maharashtra Chapter

    Dear IIMCians,
    Maharashtra Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at the Mumbai Cricket Association Club on 23rd June, 2018. 
    Minutes of the Meeting:

    1. Mr. Neeraj Bajpai, currently an executive member, was elected as the new General Secretary of the chapter. Outgoing General Secretary Mr. Devidutta Tripathy proposed Mr. Bajpai's name, and Ms. Sonam Saini seconded it.
    2. Led by chapter president Ms. Gayatri Srivastava, members present discussed about the annual event Connections held in March, and ways to make it even better in the next edition.
    3. Members also talked about steps that can be taken to increase alumni participation in the bi-monthly meetings. The next meeting of the chapter is being planned for July/August.

  • MoM- Ranchi | Jharkhand Chapter Meeting on 10 June, 2018

    Dear IIMCians,
    Jharkhand Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met on 10 June, 2018 in Ranchi. Chapter President Mr. Manoj Kumar presided over the meeting that was attended by Mr. Amit Gupta, Mr. Dev Vrat Singh, Mr. Pranav Pratyush, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Ms. Puja Oraon, Ms. Vishakha and Mr. Abhishek Kumar.
    Minutes of The Meeting 
    1. New member Mr. Abhishek Kumar was welcomed by the Chapter. Abhishek works with the United News of India. 
    2. Decision was taken to arrange a farewell for Mr. Rajesh Kumar (Oriental Bank of Commerce) on June 17, Sunday. 
    3. Seminars would soon be organised by the chapter on regular intervals. 
    4. A corpus fund needs to be set up by the chapter getting annual membership fees of Rs 500. The fund will also be increased through other sources of revenue like seminars, events etc.
    5. Plantation programme will be orgnised in the month of June.

  • IIMCAA Elections 2018: Voters List- 2 September, Nominations- 16 September, Voting- 30 September & AGM- 7 October

    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met on June 3rd, 2017 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi. Seniormost Alumni Mr. Prasad Sanyal presided over the meeting that was attended by General Secretary Mr. Mihir Ranjan and Treasurer Ms. Deeksha Saksena. 


    Mr. Madhur Kalra, Mr. Ritesh Verma, Mr. Dadan Vishwakarma, Mr. Prabhat Upadhyay, Mr. Shreesh Chandra Singh, Mr. Govinda Mishra, Mr. Anil Kumar, Mr. Atul Gupta, Mr. Ashish Sharma, Ms. Varsha Verma, Ms. Megha Shaw, Mr. Afzal Alam and Mr. Shyam M Singh were also present in the meeting.

     

    Minutes of the Meeting:-

    1. Mr. Afzal Alam and Mr. Shyam M Singh raised the issues of students, IIMCAA's income and expenditure. IIMCAA officials explained why an alumni association was not supposed to act as an union of students. They were apprised about the established tradition and process of publication of income and expense details with audit report in Annual Alumni Meet Connections Souvenir every year.

    2. The Central Committee has decided to host Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 7th October, 2018 (Sunday). Venue and Time to be communicated later.

    3. The Central Committee has finalised the election schedules for Biennial IIMCAA Elections 2018. Appointment of the Election Commissioner and Election Officer will be made soon. Important dates for IIMCAA Elections 2018 are as follows.

    02 September, 2018- Publication of Voters List

    09 September, 2018- Notification of IIMCAA Elections 2018

    16 September, 2018- Nomination for IIMCAA Elections 2018

    30 September, 2018- Voting, Counting and Results (If Required)

    07 October, 2018- Charge Handover to New Team and AGM- All Hands Meet 2018

  • URGENT: EIL requires Freelance Content Writers

    Dear IIMCians,

     

    Engineers India Ltd. (EIL) is looking for good Freelance Content Writers, who have some exposure to writing for business & financial publications. A bit of exposure to stock market analysis and hydrocarbons/ oil & gas trends will be an added advantage.

     

    The current requirement is writing for our Company’s Annual Report/ Sustainability reports. The content writer is required to write the Foreword, Chairman’s statement to Shareholders, Chairman’s speech, MDAR, Director’s Report and proof-read/ enhance the overall quality of the report by providing a sectoral perspective. 

    The writer is also required to highlight EIL’s stock and business potential with an analytical outlook of the overall investment landscape.

     

    The compensation can be worked out based on the candidate’s experience and quality of his past work.

     

    EIL would not be considering fresh graduates, only candidates with 5-15 years experience. Candidates with a Mass Communication/ Journalism degree with a MBA (Finance) would be an ideal fit.
