  • MoM | Central Committee Meeting | 10 May, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on May 10. Executive President Mr. Apurva Chamaria presided over the meeting that was attended by General Secretary Mr. Rahul Sharma, Organisation Secretaries Mr. Harshendra, Mr. Krishna Pophale, Treasurer Mr. Gaurav Dikshit, Secretaries Mr. Amit Kanaujia, Ms. Sugam Singhal, Ms. Kamini Patil, Ms. Deeksha Saksena, Executive Members Mr. Pratham Dwivedi, Ms. Arpita Kedia, Ms. Pragya Swastik. Alumni Mr. Ritesh Verma, Mr. Avinash Kumar, Mr. Arpan Roy, Mr. Akash Priyan & Mr. Amit Rajpoot also attended the meeting.

    Minutes of the Meeting:-
    1. The Central Committee expressed happiness over successful launch of Connections Bubhneshwar and Mumbai edition this year. The Central Committee congratulated Odisha and Maharashtra chapter for hosting a fabulous meet.
    2. The Central Committee is of the view that more editions of Connections in different cities across the country shall be launched from next year in addition to Delhi, Bhubaneswar and Mumbai. CC will consult all the chapters within the country over the matter. CC will extend all possible assistance to chapters willing to host Connections next year.
    3. The Central Committee brainstormed the model of Lets Talk. A concept note prepared by General Secretary Mr. Rahul Sharma is being circulated to CC Members to review and suggest the changes in the proposed model. CC will take up the matter in the next meeting for final decision.
    4. The CC has received a proposal to adopt a Social Cause of the Year from Organisation Secretary (East) Mr. Rai Umraopati Ray. It is being circulated to the CC Members to review and suggest the way ahead. CC will take up this issue in its next meeting..
    5. The Central Committee sanctioned NewsWriters (www.newswriters.in) the status of Associated Website. This site provides  study material to journalism students. IIMCAA will support this site digitally to help it to reach the budding journalists.

  • MoM | Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh Chapter | 3 May, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

    Andhra Pradesh Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met on 3rd May 2015 in Vanasthalipuram of Hyderabad.

     
    Following are the minutes of the meeting.
    1. We had few minutes bereavement for those lost their lives in Nepal earthquake and sad demise of alumni member.
    2. We welcomed two new members to the chapter (Sucharita Sahu and Arpita Aparajita)
    3. The chapter also reviewed the activities during the past year and decided to plan more get together activities in the coming days to improve the bonding among alumni members.
    4. Some members suggested a family get together and the chapter is exploring the feasibility of such plan.
    5. Following from suggestion by Chetan Malick during last meeting, the chapter has also decided to actively pursue the corporate video production.
    6. The chapter has also decided to create a Whatsapp group to improve communication among the members.
    7. Date of the next meeting has been tentatively fixed on second Sunday of July.
     
    Annual Election was held wherein some new office bearers were elected while some of them are re-elected.

  • MoM | Tamil Nadu Chapter Meeting | 12 April, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,
    A long awaited meet up of the TN Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association finally happened on April 12th at Cafe Adoniya, located adjacent to Elliot's Beach, popularly known as Besant Nagar Beach in Chennai. There was no set agenda for this meeting. All the members were attending the meeting for the first time. And, hence it was meant to be more of casual catch up over a cuppa. 
    Of the several alumni living in TN Chapter area, five could come for the meeting. The meeting revolved mostly around whose from which batch of IIMC and whose doing what in TN. The meeting also had some interesting discussions on "Why Hindi is NOT a third language for students in TN"; different types of cuisines Chennai has to offer; so on and so forth. 
    It was mutually decided by each member that the office bearers for the chapter will be chosen when there is a considerable number of members attending the meeting. Also, the next date will be decided on a vote basis, by speaking to everyone present in the chapter and getting a final word on the day and date. The information about the meeting will be spread at least three-four weeks in advance so that everyone can attend it.

  • MoM | Maharashtra Chapter Meeting | 28 March, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

     

    Maharashtra Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met on March 28, 2015 at Food Court in Bandra-Kurla Complex. Following decisions were taken during the meeting:-

     

    1. Maharashtra Chapter has decided to host the Annual Alumni Meet, Connections 2015 Mumbai. Meet will be held on Sunday, April 26, at Mumbai Press Club, near CST station.

    2. Mumbai based Alumni Entrepreneurs featured in annual meet series Campus Wale Entrepreneurs will be felicitated at the event.

    3. Connections 2015 Mumbai to start at 6 PM and conclude with an independent interaction followed by dinner by 9 PM.

    4. Mr. Devidutta Tripathy (New Delhi, 2003-04 Batch) and Ms. Kashmira Pawaskar (New Delhi, 2009-10 Batch) have been appointed as Convener and Co-Convener for Connections 2015 Mumbai.

    • Plan, implement and monitor ethical optimization activities aimed to pull the company’s rank in generic searches for financial products and services across all digital search engines

    • Focus on the company’s Digital Grid financial products with a mandate to make SEO the dominant channel for business

    • Be the governance gate for optimization activities in line with published aggregator policies

    • Monitor policy updates of various search engines and input back into the company’s SEO approach

    • Prepare and publish daily reports of company’s SEO linked performance metrics across financial products and services

    • Monitor and analyse daily key word volume search movements, identify fresh opportunities and publish plans to monetize the same

    • Ensure the core of the brand is presented in all capabilities developed

    • Creating wireframes and visual design comps

    • Plan website & applications design by clarifying goals with internal stakeholders

    • Plan & develop site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content.

    • Develop site graphics by coordinating with copywriters and graphic artists

    • Upgrade site by updating content and graphics, monitoring performance and results, identifying and evaluating improvement options & introducing new technology

    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications & participating in professional organizations

     

    9.    Manager – Digital Marketing – Search and Earned Media

    Exp: 4-5 yrs

    Duties and Responsibilities:  • Develop, own and manage the desktop and mobile marketing strategy for owned assets to drive organic and earned revenue

    • Use date driven analysis to optimize website traffic activity, SERP rankings and lead acquisition metrics

    • Improve organic revenue through expanded keyword inventory, multivariate keyword and landing page performance

    • Manage and improve current and new organic search results for a portfolio of keywords

    • Provide SEO support for all on-going activities such as new pages set up, site changes for Bajaj Finserv digital assets

    • Establish, implement, and measure the effectiveness of mobile program initiatives
