  • IIMCAA Australia Chapter | Melvyn Gibert- President, Vrishali Jain- General Secretary

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association Australia chapter had its first meeting on 24 January 2021. It was a zoom meeting, and four members turned up.
    It elected Mr. Melvyn Gibert of the 2005-06 as the president and Ms. Vrishali Jain of 2015-16 batch as the general secretary of the Australia Chapter. 
    Mr. Vivek Kumar, coordinator for the first meeting, proposed Melvyn Gilbert and Vrishali Jain name, and all present members provided their consent.
    Post of coordinator is being dissolved as the chapter has elected its committee.

  • IIMCAA Awards 2021: Mr. Saqib Iqbal Khan Withdraws From Journalist of the Year (Publishing)

    Dear IIMCAA Members,

    Mr. Saqib Iqbal Khan has withdrawn his candidature for IIMCAA Awards 2021 from the category of Journalist of the Year (Publishing).

    IIMCAA Awards 2021 Auditor, Neena Sharma & Associates, pointed out violation of rule no. 28 with respect to his entry. Rule No 28 of IIMCAA Awards 2021 says- Governing Council members do not qualify for awards, but are free to vote.

    Mr. Saqib is a member of IIMCAA's Governing Council by virtue of being the General Secretary of Bihar Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association.

    Team IIMCAA informed him about the rule violation and he accepted this inadvertent overlook of the rule. He offered to withdraw his entry which IIMCAA has accepted. Now, his entry is being removed from the list of applicants/ entries.

    IIMCAA members who have already voted in favor of Mr. Saqib are requested to cast their vote again before the deadline, 11.59 PM on 31st January. Any vote to Mr. Saqib will not be counted. 

    Applicants voted below Mr. Saqib will be upgraded to one level up in counting if such votes are not changed by deadline.

  • Connections 2021: Golden Jubilee (1970-71 Batch) & Silver Jubilee (1995-96 Batch) | 28 February 2021

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association is introducing an initiative to celebrate the completion of Golden Jubilee and Silver Jubilee of respective batches every year at Annual Alumni Meet- Connections starting from this year. Connections 2021 starts at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on 28th February, observing COVID-19 guidelines of the day.

    Team IIMCAA will try its best to contact alumni of golden and silver jubilee batches, with the active support of other alumni who know anyone of these respective batches. One single alumni of a batch can help us to locate and connect with all other alumni of that batch.

    Team IIMCAA will share a brief profile of each and every alumni of golden and silver jubilee batches, whom it could contact and connect with. These Know Your Alumni Profiles will be published in the annual souvenir book as well.

    It is an open appeal and request to all alumni of IIMC to help us with name, email, mobile number or whatever else you know about any of alumni of 1970-71 Batch or 1995-96 Batch which are Golden and Silver Jubilee batches this year respectively.

  • Patna MoM | Bihar Chapter To Meet First Sunday Every Month, Next Meeting on 26th January

    Dear IIMCians,
    IIMC Alumni Associations' Bihar Chapter met on 11th January in Patna. Chapter President Mr. Bhola Nath presided over the meeting that was attended by Vice President Mr. KK Lal, General Secretary Mr. Saqib Khan, Senior Alumni Mr. Sami Ahmed, Mr. Prakash Kumar, Mr. Devasis Biswasl, Mr. Kapil Sharma and Mr. Abhishek Kumar. 
    Minutes of the Meeting:
    1. The Bihar Chapter will meet virtually on the first Sunday every month at 12.30 PM.
    2. Next chapter meeting will take place on 26th January at the residence of Senior alumni Mr. Prakash Kumar at 12.30 PM.
    3. The Bihar Chapter will conduct an entrance exam workshop for IIMC aspirants.

  • MP Chapter: Manoj President, Amit General Secretary, Pankaj Organisation Secretary

    Madhya Pradesh Chapter met in Bhopal on 10th January 2021. Chapter President Mr. Anil Saumitra presided over the meeting that was attended by General Secretary Mr. Manoj Singh, Organisation Secretary Mr. Amit Pathe and Mr. Pankaj Sharma.
    Minutes of the Meeting

  • MoM: Jharkhand Chapter Committee Meeting, 10 January 2021 | Annual Picnic at Netarhat

    Dear IIMCians,

    The Executive Committee of IIMCAA Jharkhand Chapter had a meeting in Ranchi on 10th January 2021. President of chapter, Mr. Manoj Kumar presided over the meeting which was attended by Vice President Dr. Dev Vrat singh, Mr. Amit Kumar Gupta, General Secretary Mr. Pranav Pratyush Das, Treasurer Mr. Kumar Rajesh and Organisation Secretary Ms. Puja Amrita Oraon.
    Minutes of Executive Committee Meeting 
    1. The President discussed the modalities for forthcoming election procedures of the chapter.
    2. Resources for the Annual Picnic to be held at Netarhat were also discussed.
    3. New member of the chapter Mr. Arvind das, Ms. Nupur Nutan and Ms. Neha Gupta were extended a warm welcome to the group.

  • #LetsVoteTheBest : Voting Guidelines & Format for IIMCAA Awards 2021

    Dear IIMCAA Members,

    Voting for IIMCAA Awards 2021 is open now and will close at 11.59 PM on January 31st.
    Team IIMCAA has introduced a voting model for members this year replacing the 4-year-old system of jury evaluation. This is a unique experiment of such magnitude for the first time in the mass communication industry and everyone is keen to see 'How IIMCAA Members vote?'.
    Applicants are free to ask you to vote for them on grounds ranging from professional to emotional, but IIMCAA members are expected to responsibly judge the entries in a free and fair manner and vote on the merit of the entry.

    Our appeal: Do not vote for individuals, vote for the work they have done and submitted for IIMCAA Awards 2021.
    We would like to underline your importance as a voter on two counts:
    1. You will be choosing the best amongst all as the winner.
    2. The impartiality of the process and its success is in your hands, ensuring that the IIMCAA Awards this year are not second to any jury award. The voting by IIMC Alumni this year will also determine how these awards are decided in the future.
    Team IIMCAA would like to request you to spare time to evaluate all the entries before you make a choice and vote for one, two or all five categories. You are free to vote for one category or all categories but please do not vote till you are able to review all entries of a given category.

    Our Appeal: Give time to review and select a winner by comparing all the entries impartially and objectively.

    You have to choose and list three best entries, as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and send them at auditor@iimcaa.org from your registered email id with IIMCAA.
    Your vote will be considered only if you have made all three choices. Any vote without three choices will not be counted. You can email your vote for each category separately or club them together in one email. The last email will be considered if you send multiple emails for the same category. Votes will be counted according to a preferential voting system and the results validated by our independent auditor.
    The results will be declared on February 28 at IIMCAA Connections 2021 at the IIMC Headquarters, New Delhi. The tally of votes will be published subsequently on IIMCAA website. Applicants will be able to see the total number of votes they have received but the identity of voters will not be divulged.
    The format for emailing your vote is given below. You may copy-paste and fill it in. Mentioning your name and your membership number is a must in the subject line. You may check your membership number at IIMCAA Website under Section-  Team/ Governing Body by using CTRL+F' feature.
