Mahesh Chander Kalra Memorial IIMCAA Scholarship by Madhur Kalra

Dear IIMCians,

IIMC Alumni Association is adding one more IIMCAA Scholarship from the academic session 2021-22 in the memory of the late Mahesh Chander Kalra.

Mr. Madhur Kalra (EJ, 2003-04 Batch) has instituted Mahesh Chander Kalra Memorial IIMCAA Scholarship in the name of his father, which will be awarded to a needy girl student, pursuing journalism in regional language courses (Urdu, Odia, Malayalam, Marathi).

IIMCAA Scholarship is an initiative started with the support of alumni and well-wishers of IIMCAA in the academic year 2018-19. 11 IIMCAA Scholarships were awarded to the students of different departments and campuses in 2019.

The addition of one new scholarship will make a total 26 IIMCAA Scholarships of 25000 INR each available for students in 2022.

Kusum & SD Gupta Memorial IIMCAA Scholarship by Anshu Gupta

Dear IIMCians,

IIMC Alumni Association is adding one more IIMCAA Scholarship from the academic session 2021-22 in memory of late Kusum Gupta and SD Gupta.

Mr. Anshu Gupta (HJ, 1990-91 & AD-PR, 1991-92 Batch) has instituted Kusum & SD Gupta Memorial IIMCAA Scholarship in the name of his parents, which will be awarded to a qualifying girl student, from rural India, at IIMC.

IIMCAA Scholarship is an initiative started with the support of alumni and well-wishers of IIMCAA in the academic year 2018-19. 11 IIMCAA Scholarships were awarded to the students of different departments and campuses in 2019.

The addition of one new scholarship will make a total 29 IIMCAA Scholarships of 25000 INR each available for students in 2022.

Jharkhand Chapter Committee: Sanjiv Kumar Besra President, Manisha Singh General Secretary

Dear IIMCians,

A general meeting of alumni in Jharkhand was held in Ranchi on 23rd January, 2022. This meeting unanimously elected a committee to run the chapter led by Mr. Sanjiv Kumar Besra, IAS.

The meeting organised at Ranchi Press Club was attended physically by Mr. Arvind Das, Prof. Dev Vrat Singh, Mr. Kumar Rajesh, Mr. Amit Gupta, Mr. Onkar Pandey, Mr. Santosh Oraon, Mrs. Manisha Singh, Mr. Abhishek Kumar, Mr. Anand Dutta, Mr. Shambhu Nath, Mr. Neeraj Kumar, Mr. Prashant Mahton and Mr. Suraj Thakur. Mr. Sanjiv Kumar Besra, Mr. Vivekanand Singh, Mr. Kishore Kumar, Mr. Nityanand and Mr. Devendra attended the meeting virtually.

The meeting discussed ways to restore the chapter committee and unanimously elected following alumni.

IIMCAA Group Medical Insurance Cover: Expression of Interest Survey

Dear IIMCians,

Let the new year be the harbinger of good news.

IIMCAA has embarked on an ambitious thought to secure the health and happiness of its members. Through IIMCAA Group Health and Personal Accident Insurance Plans, we hope to bring cheer to our members. The need for such plans have been felt as many of our members do not have any insurance at all or are under insured.

We just need to leverage our large numbers to our advantage: to extract best terms at attractive premiums from insurance companies.

We are doing a quick survey to find out the extent of interest of such products among us. Your participation in large numbers is a prerequisite for the success of this program.

IIMCAA Awards 2022: Member Only Apply Rule Withdrawn, Deadline Extended to 10 January

Dear IIMCians,

The central committee has decided to keep rule no 2 of IIMCAA Awards 2022 in abeyance which had mandated that only members of IIMC Alumni Association were eligible to apply for the awards.

Rule No 2 is being changed in notification issued early to make the new rule effective allowing all alumni to apply for the awards. Any alumni of IIMC can apply for the IIMCAA Awards 2022 now.

Starting 2023, only members of the association will be eligible to apply for IIMCAA Awards. Non-member Alumni are requested to register for membership at www.iimcaa.org

The deadline to submit entries for IIMCAA Awards 2022 is being also extended on account of rule change from 5 January to 10 January. IIMC Alumni are encouraged to apply and participate in the 6th season of IIMCAA Awards 2022.

Connections 2022: Golden Jubilee (1971-72 Batch) & Silver Jubilee (1996-97 Batch) | 27 February 2022

Dear IIMCians,

IIMC Alumni Association will be celebrating the completion of Golden Jubilee of 1971-72 Batch and Silver Jubilee of 1996-97 at Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2022 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on 27th February, observing COVID-19 guidelines of the day.

IIMCAA will try its best to contact alumni of golden and silver jubilee batches, with the active support of alumni who know anyone of these two batches. One single alumni of a batch may help us to locate and connect to remaining alumni of the batch.

Team IIMCAA will share a brief profile of each alumni of golden and silver jubilee batches, whom it could contact and connect with. These Know Your Alumni Profiles will be published in the annual souvenir book as well.

It is an open appeal and request to all alumni of IIMC to help us with name, email, mobile number or whatever you know about any of alumni of 1971-72 Batch or 1996-97 Batch which are Golden and Silver Jubilee batches for 2022 meets respectively.
