Dear IIMCians,

The Central Committee met at IIMC HQ on 7th December. IIMCAA Executive President Mr. Prabhash Jha presided over the meeting that was attended by Vice Presidents Ms. Sneha Bhattacharjee, Ms. Sadhna Arya, General Secretary Mr. Atul Gupta, Secretary Ms. Vani Shukla, Treasurer Ms. Deeksha Saksena, CC Members Mr. Prabhat Kumar, Mr. Kaushal Vishwakarma, Mr. Ajit Dara Singh, Mr. Shankar Pandit, Ms. Tanima Ray and former Organisation Secretary Mr. Ritesh Verma. It discussed various issues pertaining to annual meet and awards. Following decisions were taken.

Minutes of the Meeting

1. IIMCAA Awards 2026: The CC has approved a campaign plan upto one lakh rupees to reach out to possible applicants for IIMCAA Awards 2026 by various social media platforms.

2. Connections 2026: The CC has approved a plan to take services of agencies/ consultants in raising new sponsorships or reviving dormant sponsorships. Agencies/ consultants will be paid a service fee up to 15 percent plus taxes for such sponsorships.

3. Connections 2026: The CC has decided to keep allowances unchanged, an IIMCAA official is entitled to claim if travelling for official purposes. IIMCAA shall reimburse 5000 rupees maximum, against the bills or self-declaration to that effect, to one person for airport transfers, local travel and food for a round trip. Expenses incurred on additional travels and meetings for sponsorships/ partnerships will be reimbursed on the actual basis. This is over and above travel tickets and accommodation.

The IIMCAA Care Fund has unanimously decided to extend financial assistance of INR 20,000 to Mr. Rahul Kumar (HJ, 1994–95 Batch), who recently sought help from the Trust. This contribution has been approved as under the medical assistance guidelines of the IIMCAA Care Fund.

Mr. Rahul has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment in Patna. While this initial support has been provided, Mr. Rahul’s medical treatment requires far greater financial resources. We appeal to our alumni community and well-wishers to come forward and contribute directly to him in this difficult phase.

Mr. Neeraj Jha, 2000-01 Batch Alumnus (RTV, Delhi), will be the Coordinator for Jubilee Batch Celebrations at Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2026.

Mr. Jha is Director and Head of Sports, Eurosport (Warner Bros. Discovery).

IIMCAA will be celebrating the golden and silver jubilee of 1975-76 and 2000-01 batches respectively at Connections 2026.

The IIMC Alumni Association (IIMCAA) is pleased to announce that the entries for the 10th IIMCAA Awardsare now OPEN FOR SUBMISSION. It is open for all working professionals including non-IIMCians.

Our commitment to recognize the outstanding achievements in various fields of mass communication and fostering connections among them remains steadfast. Hosting another round of these prestigious awards marks a significant milestone, and we are elated to have reached the IIMCAA Awards 2026.

The IIMCAA Awards 2026 will honour the best professional works done by an applicant/ applicants from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. Out of the 13 categories, 10 offer a cash prize along with a trophy and certificate, while the remaining 3 offer a trophy and certificate.

The shortlisting of entries and selection of winners will be conducted by an esteemed panel of jury members. The winners will be announced on 28 February at Connections Meet in Delhi. IIMCAA will contact the winners and share the invite to attend the award ceremony.

IMPORTANT CHANGES WITH RESPECT TO IIMCAA AWARDS 2025

– An applicant is required to submit THREE (3) News/Shows/Campaigns done in 2025 now, instead of ONE (1).

– An applicant is required to submit essay in video format, instead of written essay to justify his/her/their claim for the award

Dear IIMCians, 

The Central Committee meeting took place at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on 2nd November. IIMCAA President Mr. Sushil Singh presided over the meeting that was attended by Executive President Ms. Gayatri Srivastava, Vice Presidents Ms. Sneha Bhattacharjee, General Secretary Mr. Atul Gupta, CC Members Ms. Vrinda Mathur, Mr. Anand Saurabh and Mr. Komal Badodekar. Former President Mr. Prasad Sanyal and past CC Members Mr. Ritesh Verma, Mr. Mridul Chandra, Mr. Pratham Dwivedi and Ms. Puja Mishra also participated in the meeting. It discussed the agenda listed for the meeting and following decisions were taken.

1. Connections 2026 Event Fees– The CC approved an event fee plan that will be attached to the membership status of alumni. Global Meet will be an invite only event while Chapter Meets will be open for Renewed/Paid Members only.

– All members, who have registered/renewed until 31st October 2025, will be required to pay the membership and event fees together to attend Connections 2026

– Other alumni are required to become members

– Fee structure is given below, which will reflect on the membership page soon when we open registrations at www.iimcaa.org

– Registrations for the Global Connections Meet will close on 15th February 2026

Global Meet Fees

• Lifetime Members- Nil

• Annual Members (Registered/Renewed after 1 November 2025)- 1000 + GST

• Renewal Pending Members/ Other Alumni- 2000 + GST

• Family Members- 2500 + GST (per person, except for children below 10 years)

Chapter Meets Fees

• Lifetime Members- Nil

• Annual Members (Registered/Renewed after 1 November 2025)- Nil

• Renewal Pending Members/ Other Alumni- 1000 + GST

• Family Members- 1500 + GST (per person, except for children below 10 years)

2. Lifetime Membership Connections Special Offer– The CC has approved to launch a special drive for lifetime membership with 25% lower fees during registrations for Global Connections Meet. Normal fee for lifetime membership is 20,000 Rupees + GST that will be available for 15,000 + GST during registrations. Special offer will close on 15th February 2026.
