  • CC MoM: Connections 2022 Begins on 27 February, IIMCAA Awards Returns to Jury

    Dear IIMCians, 
    The Central Committee met at IIMC HQ on October 3rd in New Delhi. IIMCAA President Mr. Kalyan Ranjan presided over the meeting that was attended by former President Mr. Prasad Sanyal, IIMCAA Care Fund Chairman Mr. Nitin Pradhan, IIMCAA Awards Coordinator Ms. Simrat Gulati, Executive President Ms. Kitty Mukherjee, Vice Presidents Mr. Pratham Dwivedi & Prabhat Upadhyay, General Secretary Ms. Sadhna Arya, Secretary Ms. Sugam Singhal, IIMC Affairs Coordinator Mr. Shreesh Chandra Singh apart from Mr. Madhur Kalra, Mr. Animesh Biswas, Mr. Ritesh Verma and Mr. Pradeep Tiwari.
    Minutes of the Meeting:-
    1. Connections 2022: Annual Alumni Meets will start on February 27th, 2022 (Sunday) at IIMC HQ, New Delhi followed by Chapter Meets in cities across India and abroad depending on sponsorship. Priority will be given to chapters contributing in sponsorship for Connections 2022. 
    2. IIMCAA Awards 2022: IIMCAA Awards will return to the esteemed jury for categories which carry cash prizes. Other categories will be decided by the central committee as usual. A separate notification will be issued in December when entry opens for competitive categories of IIMCAA Awards.
    3. IIMCAA Scholarships 2022: IIMCAA Scholarships process will start once IIMC finalises its award of freeships to the applicants. We intend to award the Scholarships at Connections 2022 but since this process is aligned to the freeship process at IIMC, the decision would be taken as and when it's possible.
    4. IIMCAA Golden & Silver Jubilee Alumni Batch Felicitation: IIMCAA will felicitate alumni, who had passed out IIMC 50 Years and 25 Years ago, at Connections 2022. Golden Jubilee Alumni Batch is 1971-72 Batch & Silver Jubilee Alumni Batch is 1996-97 Batch. A separate notification will be issued with more details.
    5. Connections 2022 Team: Appointments to various positions for Connections, IIMCAA Awards, IIMCAA Scholarships and IIMCAA Golden and Silver Jubilee Alumni Batch Felicitations 2022 were discussed and decided at the meeting. Separate notifications for all such appointments will be made in coming days.
    6. IIMCAA Website: IIMC Alumni Association will invite open bids to redesign and relaunch the website www.iimcaa.org with enhanced features. Existing site has limited scope to engage alumni and keep members informed of IIMCAA activities, apart from intermittent issues with fee payments of new membership and renewal of membership.

  • Kanpur Sub Chapter Reconstituted: Sachin President, Devansh General Secretary, Aman Treasurer

    Kanpur Sub Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met in Kanpur on August 15, 2021. Sub Chapter President Mr. Praveen Mohta presided over the meeting that was attended by General Secretary & Treasurer Mr. Anurag Gupta, Executive Member Mr. Sachin Dixit apart from alumni Mr. Sunny Lamba, Mr. Devansh Awasthi, Mr. Himanshu Pal, Mr. Aman Gupta, Mr. Ashish Kumar and Ms. Snehlata.
    Alumni, present in the meeting, unanimously elected a new committee to lead the sub chapter. The new team is as follows:-

  • Mr. Narender Soni Appointed Organisation Secretary of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir Chapter

    Mr. Narender Soni (HJ, Delhi | 2016-17 Batch) is being appointed as an Organisation Secretary of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir Chapter.
    Mr. Soni teaches Mass Communication as an Assistant Professor at Dayanand College, Hisar. He is the youngest lifetime member of IIMCAA.

  • Fundraising Appeal for Sona Babu | IIMCAA Contributes One Lakh Rupees From Medical Assistance Fund

    Dear IIMCians, 
    IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund (IMAF) Committee has unanimously decided to extend the financial assistance of 1,00,000 Rupees to Mr. Sona Babu of RTV, 2013-14 Batch who had sought help from IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund. Mr. Sona is battling with colon cancer and requires a huge amount to get medical facilities and avail treatments.
    The Committee had a virtual meeting to discuss the request and approved the assistance of One Lakh Rupees as a rare and extraordinary case of help under rule no 15. 
    As per IMAF Rule No 9, an applicant may get maximum assistance of 20,000 INR in one year and not more than 50% of his/ her medical bills. As per IMAF Rule No 15, The IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund Committee and/ or the Central Committee can overlook any/ all above rules to help alumni in extraordinary medical situations.
    IIMCAA would like to request alumni and well wishers to help him in this hour of need. It can be done as per the following bank account details.

  • IIMCAA President Elect Kalyan Ranjan Thanks Members, Proposers, Election Officials For Uncontested Election

    Dear IIMCians,

    I, on the behalf of my panel, take the opportunity to thank IIMCAA members and all 64 proposers for reposing faith in our team to lead the association for next two years.
     
    I would like to express sincere thanks to the IIMCAA President Mr. Prasad Sanyal and members of the central committee for picking this panel as an official panel.

    I would like to thank the Election Commissioner Prof. Govind Singh and Election Officer Mr. Raghuvinder Chawla for conducting the IIMCAA Elections 2021.

    IIMCAA will turn 10 next year and leading IIMCAA during its 10th anniversary will be an honour for my team.

    Dear All, 
    Today was the last date for scrutiny and withdrawal of nominations for the election of IIMCA Alumni Association 2021. Mr Kalyan Ranjan panel was the only panel, which had filed nominations. 
    After duly scrutinising the nomination forms, the panel of Mr Kalyan Ranjan is declared elected uncontested.
