    The Central Committee of IIMCAA met at UNI Office on December, 1. It was presided over by President Mr. Mukesh Kaushik and was attended by General Secretary Mr. Animesh Biswas, Organisation Secretary Mr. Harshendra Verdhan, Mr. Ritesh Verma, Executive Members Mr. Kaushal Kumar & Mr. Harendra Yadav.
    Minutes of the meeting are as follows:-
    1. Vice President Mr. Apurva Chamaria will be Convenor of Alumni Meet 'Connections14'.
    2. Ms. Vartika Nanda will be Coordinator of the series Campus Wale Writers.
    3. Focus of the meet would be interaction among alumni hence session inside MANCH will be of limited time effectively. Events Flow shall be as:-
    4.00 PM to 5.00 PM- Assembly over Tea & Snacks
    5.00 PM to 6.00 PM- Felicitation of Campus Wale Writers. Announcement of Election Schedule due in October, 2014

  • Award for Excellence in Financial Journalism | Entry Deadline- January 15

    Journalists who work in newspapers and magazines in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai can enter.
    The Shriram Sanlam Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism, organized by Shriram Capital Limited, is seeking entries. The awards honor journalism that fosters better understanding of the economy, business dynamics and financial understanding.
    Two categories include articles on business, finance, capital markets, economy published by Indian media and articles in international media centered on Indian business or economy.
    Winners in each category will receive INR100,000. The special prize “Life Time Achievement Award” of INR250,000 will be given to a journalist to honor his/her contributions in the field of financial journalism over a period of 25 to 30 years.
    Financial articles that have appeared in print or online between Jan. 1, 2013 and Dec. 31, 2013 are eligible. Entries will be accepted only from media in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
