  • IIMC Alumni Meet | CC Approves 2.50 Million INR for #IIMCConnections2016 | 21 Feb, 2016

    Dear IIMCians,
     
    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met on December 20, 2015 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi. Mr. Suresh Kumar Vashishta– IAS, 98 Batch (Convener, Annual Alumni Meet Connections 2016) presided over the meeting that was attended by Executive President Mr. Apurva Chamaria, Vice President Mr. Prasad Sanyal, General Secretary Mr. Rahul Sharma, Organisation Secretary Mr. Harshendra Singh Verdhan, Mr. Sandeep Jha, Mr. Keshav Kumar, Treasurer Mr. Gaurav Dikshit, Secretary Ms. Deeksha Saksena, CC Member Mr. Pratham Dwivedi & Mr. Om Dheeraj. Alumni Mr. Suraj Kumar, Mr. Ajay Khullar, Mr. Kumar Deep, Mr. Vivek Shukla, Mr. Ritesh Verma, Ms. Chetna Bhatia, Mr. Kanhaiya Parashar and Ms. Samridhi Dikshit also participated in the meeting.
     
    Meeting deliberated the preparations for Annual Alumni Meet Connections 2016 scheduled for February 21st, 2016 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi and decided the matters as follows.

    1. Campus Wale Bureaucrats- IIMCAA will felicitate its alumni bureaucrats serving under; 1. All India Services allotted by UPSC after Annual Civil Services Examinations 2. State Administrative Service 3. State Police Service 4. Any other Services/ Organizations which IIMCAA will find suitable.

    IIMCAA will release a primary list of such alumni and request all alumni to enrich the list with their inputs to make the list as complete as possible like previous years.

     
    2. Addition of New Chapters for Connections Regional Editions- It was decided to widen the coverage of Annual Alumni Meet and include more State Capitals in the list of cities going to host Connections 2016. Connections 2015 took place in Bhubaneswar and Mumbai last year. This year IIMCAA plans to host Connections in Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Patna, Hyderabad and Jaipur.

    3. Income and Expenditure- The Central Committee resolved to push for sponsorship worth 30 Lakhs INR this year and approved an estimated expenditure of 25 Lakhs INR with additional 10% Miscellaneous Expenses.

  • Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2016 | February 21 | Campus Wale Bureaucrats

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association will host its 4th Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2016, on February 21 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi. Theme for Connections 2016 is- Campus Wale Bureaucrats. We will felicitate alumni who have been selected by UPSC and State PSCs to serve the nation.

    A broad criteria to identify and felicitate the alumni bureaucrats are services, allotted by UPSC after civil services exam each year, IAS, IPS, IFS, IFoS, IAAS, IRS, IDAS, IOFS, IRTS, IRPS, IIS, ICLS etc. Alumni of State Administrative Services & State Police Services will be felicitated as well. A primary list of such alumni will be shared next week to seek your input to enrich the list.

    Success of Connections Bhubaneswar and Connections Mumbai this year has filled us with energy to add more State Level Connections next year. A final schedule and list of all such events shall be communicated soon.

    The Central Committee has appointed ‪Mr. Suresh Kumar Vashishth, 1994-95 Batch Alumni (EJ, New Delhi) & Odisha Cadre IAS Officer of 1998 Batch, as Convener and Mr. Prasad Sanyal, 2000-01 Batch Alumni (RTV, New Delhi) & Editor, timesofindia.com, as Principal Organiser for Connections 2016.

  • MoM | Bhubaneswar- Odisha Chapter Meeting | 6 December, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

    Odisha Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at Odisha Press Club (Bhubaneswar) on December 6. Vice President Mr. Jyoti Prasad Naik presided over the meeting.

    Minutes of the Meeting:-

    1. Chapter President Mr. Durgasish expressed to continue as President hence Mr. Sanjay Sahoo has been elected New President of Odisha Chapter.
    2. Mr. Sanjay Sahoo was holding the post of Treasurer earlier. Mr. Kisan Barai will take over as new Treasurer.
    3. Mr. Binayak Mishra has been elected new Joint Secretary.
    4. IIMC Alumni Association will Organize quarterly programms starting January next year like: Talk Show, Seminars, Workshops.
    5. For the First quarter ending March next year, a three member committee has been formed to organize 1st event, which includes, Mr. Dhiren Dhuku, Mr. Jyoti Prakash Naik and Mr. Ananta Prasad.
    6. It was proposed to organize a get together on 10th January, 2016. Vice-President Mr. Punyashloka Mishra and Organisation Secretary Mr. Sudhansu Patro will contact Alumni and arrange the same.

  • MoM | Lucknow- UP Chapter Meeting | 1 December, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

    Uttar Pradesh Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at the residence of Organisation Secretary Ms. Kamlesh Rathore on December 1st, 2015. General Secretary Mr. Pankaj Jha, Senior Alumni Bhai Shelly and Former Organisation Secretary Mr. Marinder Mishra attended the meeting.

    General Secretary Mr. Pankaj Jha was felicitated by Mr. Marinder Mishra on behalf of Siddharthnagar Press Club for his work as UP Head of ABP News in the meeting. Alumni discussed the low freequecny of the chapter meetings and decided to meet more often.

    Alumni discussed the ways to promote rural journalism and to maintain the humanitarian value in journalism. Dr. Manish Pandey of Gorakhpur University, Dr. Alok Yadav of Lucknow University and Mr. Umesh Pathak of ABP News also attended the meeting as special invitee to the felicitation of General Secretary Mr. Jha.

  • MoM | Ahmedabad- Gujarat Chapter Meeting | 1 November, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

    Gujarat Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at Science City, Ahmedabad on November 1st, 2015. It was attended by Mr. Pradeep Mallik, Mr. Prasant Kumar Sahoo, Mr. Susim Mohanty, Mr. Shreepathy Hariprasad, Mr. Arvind Kumar, Mr. Dheeraj Vashishtha and Mr. Piyush Mishra.

    Minutes of the Meeting:

    1. Chapter Elections:     Meeting elected Mr Pradeep Mallik as President, Mr. Arvind Kumar as General Secretary and Mr. Piyush Mishra as Treasurer of Gujarat Chapter.

    2. Membership: So far 9 Alumni have submitted their annual membership fees. Gujarat Chapter has deiced to keep membership fees with itself. List of the alumni submitted their membership fees: Dr Pradeep Mallik, Mr. Prasant Kumar Sahoo, Mr. Susim Mohanty, Mr. Shreepathy Hariprasad, Mr. Pranjal Protim Boruah, Mr. Vikram Vishal, Mr. Arvind Kumar, Mr. Dheeraj Vashishtha and Mr. Piyush Mishra.

    3. Next Meeting to take place on December 5/6 (Saturday/Sunday). Venue to be decided a week before.

    4. Interaction with Media Students: President Mr. Mallik came up with this idea to have interaction with media students at various institutes/campuses. The initiative will be good for new media students and at the same time it will spread the awareness among people about IIMC Alumni Association.

  • IIMCAA Farewell Meet Tomorrow | Mr. Sunit Tandon | DG, IIMC & Patron, IIMCAA

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association will host a farewell meet on November 1st (Sunday) to express its gratitude to IIMC Director General Mr. Sunit Tandon who is the ex-officio Patron of the Association. Mr. Tandon is completing his term as DG, IIMC next week.

    It will coincide with the monthly meeting of the IIMCAA which will start at 4 PM at IIMC HQ, New Delhi.
