  • MoM | Ahmedabad- Gujarat Chapter Meeting | 3 October, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,
    IIMC Alumni Association's Gujarat Chapter held its monthly meeting on 3 October, 2015 (Saturday) at the Gopi Dalbati Garden Restaurant off S G Highway in Ahmedabad.
    Senior Alumni Mr Prashant Kumar Sahoo presided over the meeting that was attended by Mr Sreepathy Hariprasad, Mr Pranajal Protim Boruah, Mr Vikram Vihal, Mr Arvind Kumar and Mr Dheeraj Vashishtha.
    In all only six members could turn up for the meeting as some were busy with their office assignments and some with last minute unavoidable office meetings, including our President Mr Pradeep Mallik.
    Minutes of the Meeting:-
    Term of the Chapter
    – Gujarat chapter takes effect from 15 July, 2015 (IIMCAA Gujarat Chapter’s inception meeting held on this day amid the presence of nine alumni).
    – Calendar year for Gujarat Chapter will be from 15 July, 2015 to 14 July, 2016 and accordingly it will apply on membership fees (yearly renewable).

    Election:
    – President: Mr Pradeep Mallik’s name proposed for the President’s post that was unanimously accepted by all present members. However, if any member/s — who were not present- has/ have any suggestion, comments or remarks then please do so by October 20, 2015. We will take that in our next meeting.
    – General Secretary cum Treasurer: Mr Arvind Kumar’s name proposed for the post of General Secretary with additional responsibility of Treasurer until next meeting. The post of treasurer will be separated on the next meeting. However, if any member/s- who were not present- has/ have any suggestion, comments or remark then please do so by October 20, 2015.
    – As of now the chapter has decided to keep the management committee a small one, comprising President, General Secretary and treasurer. However, with the addition of more members chapter committee will expand accordingly.
    Membership Drive
    – All six present members have submitted their annual membership fees to the chapter. Soon all members will be enrolled with the central committee.
    – The members who were not present in the meeting have been requested to submit their membership fees to Arvind Kumar as soon as possible.
    – Chapter has decided to keep membership fees with the chapter.
    Regular Meetings
    – In every meeting chapter will decide the date of next meeting.
    – November 1, 2015 (Sunday) is the date of next meeting. However, the venue will be finalised at least a week in advance so as to rule out any last minute uncertainty.

  • Ahmedabad | Gujarat Chapter Meeting | October 3rd @ 12 PM

    Dear IIMCians,

    Gujarat Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association will meet on October 3 at Gota Crossroads Dhaba, Ahmedabad at 12 PM. We will have a pool-in lunch that may likely to cost Rs 350 per person.

    Agenda for the meet are:
    – Line up the membership drive
    – Fresh election for the office bearer
    – Decide upon the date and venue for next meet
    – Any other issue/s put forward by member/s

  • MoM | Mumbai- Maharashtra Chapter Meeting | 5 September, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association's Maharashtra Chapter held its first meeting after Mumbai Connections 2015 on September 5 at Cafe Coffee Day, Near Reserve Bank of India, Bandra-Kurla Complex.

    Chapter President Mr. Suryakant Mishra presided over the meeting that was attended by Senior Alumni Mr. Saurabh Sinha, Mr. Neeraj Bajpai, Ms. Gayatri Srivastava, General Secretary Mr. Sourav Mishra, Mr. Niranjan Bharti, Ms. Hasleen Kaur, Ms. Sonam Saini, Ms. Mani Sharma, Ms. Dolly Bansiwar & Ms. Kamini Patil.

    The meeting was attended by 11 alumnus, from across various branches and streams. The attendee profile included from very senior members to latest pass outs. The participants were journalists, TV producers, authors, teachers, bankers, movie stars, CXOs, PR executives and entrepreneurs.

    Minutes of the Meeting:-

    – The Maharashtra Chapter Meeting observed two minutes silence to mark the loss of our beloved teacher Prof. K.M. Shrivastava.
    – Felicitation of Ms. Hasleen Kaur, (Ad-PR, 2009-10 Batch) under Campus Wale Entrepreneurs Series. Former Miss India and Bollywood Actress Ms. Kaur is the founder of Webeasts, a digital media marketing agency.
    – Chapter members decided to visit IIMC, Amravati Campus on October 30- November 1 to interact with the current batch students. Interested members can communicate their names to me before September 30.
    – Senior members Mr Saurabh Sinha, Mr Neeraj Bajpai and Ms Gayatri Shrivastava showed keen interest in nurturing students from IIMC, Amravati.
    – Decision was taken to meet at a gap of one-and-a-half to two months.
    – Proposal was discussed for dinner night on sharing basis to know each other at an informal level and boost the alumni bonding.
    – Proposal was made to follow the Lets Talk format following its Delhi launch.

  • MoM | Chandigarh- Punjab-Haryana-Himachal Chapter Meeting | 26 August, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

     

    Punjab-Haryana-Himachal Pradesh Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met on August 26 in Chandigarh. It was presided over by the President Ms. Alice Guram (EJ, 1991-1992 Batch) and attended by Dr. Upendra Pandey (HJ, 1986-87 Batch), Ms. Divya Goyal (EJ, 2011-12 Batch), Mr. Muni Shankar (HJ, 2011-2012 batch) & Ms. Aneesha Barua (EJ, 2012-2013 batch).

     

    Minutes of the Meeting

    – It was decided that Chapter President Ms. Alice Guram and General Secretary Mr. Muni Shankar would represent the chapter at the felicitation ceremony of Magsaysay Awardee Alumni Mr. Anshu Gupta on September 5 in Delhi.

    – The Chapter vows to hold a meeting once every month. Such meetings are proposed to be held in other cities falling under chapter area too.

    – The Chapter will speed up the work of the membership drive. Regional meetings in various cities are proposed to be held for the same.

  • MoM | Ahmedabad- Gujarat Chapter Meeting | 23 August, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,

     

    Gujarat Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met on August 23 in Ahmedabad. General Secretary Mr. Arvind Kumar, Alumni Mr. PK Sahoo & Mr. Dheeraj Vashisth attended the meeting.

     

    Owing to various personal and family related reasons majority of alumni could not make it to the meeting. However, hoping to have all the chapter members in the next meeting, probably in mid-September, nothing much transpired in the meeting due to less representation of chapter members.

     

    Note: Officer bearers election will be taken up in next meeting.

     

    Minutes of the Meeting:

    – Discussed about the membership drive (yearly and full-time membership).

    – Discussed about making the meet more participative inviting issues and agenda from  members other than listed matters.

    – Let the members be well informed about development in the chapter.

    – Members asked to inform in advance about their availability for the meeting.

    – Should there anything more add to these? Please come forward with ideas and suggestions.

  • Muni Shankar New General Secretary of Punjab-Haryana-Himachal Chapter

    Dear IIMCians,
    Mr. Muni Shankar (HJ, 2011-12 Batch) is being appointed General Secretary of Punjab-Haryana-Himachal Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association. The post was lying vacant since Mr. Parveen Kumar Dogra moved to New Delhi last year.
    Mr. Muni would coordinate with alumni in chapter area and organise a meeting the 2nd week of September, 2015 to revive the chapter activities.
    The Chapter will send representatives at the felicitation ceremony of Magsaysay Awardee Alumni Mr. Anshu Gupta (HJ, 1990-91 & Ad-PR, 1991-92) on September 5 in Delhi.

  • MoM | Lucknow- Uttar Pradesh Chapter Meeting | 9 August, 2015

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Uttar Pradesh chapter of the IIMC Alumni Association met in the lush green surroundings of Parag Restaurant in Lucknow on Sunday, August 9. 
    Seven members of the association took time out of their busy schedules to attend the meeting. Breaking the ice over a cup of coffee, we discussed ways to fortify the chapter and various suggestions were put forth by different members. 
    Attendee: General Secretary Mr. Pankaj Jha, Organisation Secretary Ms. Kamlesh Rathore, Secretaries Mohd Arshi Rafique & Ms. Deepika Singh, Alumni Mr. Sushil Chandra Tiwari, Mr. Rajeev Kumar & Mr. Utkarsh Chaturvedi.
    On the spot, a WhatsApp group was made for chapter, all the IIMCians present were made its members and encouraged to add their friends and colleagues in the group, titled ‘IIMCian UP’ for now. 
    We decided that we would meet every month, or at least every second month, to stay connected and plan different activities like seminars, movie outings, family picnics etc. 
    Overall, it was a fun-filled experience, made all the more delightful with sudden, brief rain lashing the city after a long, dry spell. We look forward to many more interactions in the future. The date for the next meeting would be decided soon. Hope more members of the vast IIMC family would join in.

  • MoM | Delhi- Central Committee Meeting | 02 August, 2015

    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on August 02. President Ms. Sunila Dhar presided over the meeting that was attended by Executive President Mr. Apurva Chamaria, General Secretary Mr. Rahul Sharma, Organisation Secretaries Mr. Harshendra Verdhan, Mr. Sandeep Jha, Secretaries Mr. Amit Kanaujia, Ms. Deeksha Saksena, Treasurer Mr. Gaurav Dikshit, Executive Members Mr. Animesh Biswas, Mr. Pratham Dwivedi, Ms. Ipsita Panda, Ms. Arpita Kedia & Ms. Pragya Swastik. Alumni Mr. Ritesh Verma, Ms. Supriya Batra & Mr. Gourav Choudhary also attended the meeting.
     
    Minutes Of The Meeting:

    Let's Talk- IIMCAA adopted a logo designed by Creative Head Mr. Mohit Agarwal for its new event, Let's Talk. Let's Talk scheduled for November 1 will serve as a forum to discuss the issues concerning communication industry. A sub committee headed by Vice President Mr. Prasad Sanyal will oversee the preparations.

    Social Cause of The Year- IIMCAA adopted ''Malnutrition in Children" as the Social Cause of the Year after it received maximum votes in the online survey. IIMCAA will identify an NGO working for this cause now and extend its digital & event space to the selected NGO to further the cause.
