    Dear IIMCians,
    IIMC Alumni Association (IIMCAA) is hosting its 5th Annual Alumni Meet IFFCO Connections 2017 on February 19, 2017 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi. ‘Connections’ is a theme-based annual get together of IIMC Alumni started in 2013. Its fifth season will be highlighting the achievements of alumni teachers under the series 'Campus Wale Teachers'.
    Alumni meet will start at 2.30 PM. Our main event, awarding winners of inaugural edition of IIMCAA Awards 2017 and felicitation of alumni teachers will start at 3.30 PM inside main auditorium and shall close around 6.00 PM. 

    DJ Sonya Khanna and DJ Avneet will host the entertainment segment from 7 PM to 10 PM. Punjabi Singer Mr. Guru Randhawa will hit the DJ Area at 7.30 PM and will remain with us for around half an hour.

    Annual Dinner is open from 7.30 PM to 11 PM in the area adjacent to hostel.
    We look forward to your valuable presence at Connections 2017. Come and Connect @ Connections 2017.

  • MoM | Odisha Chapter Meet- Connections Dhenkanal Preponed to 26 February, 2017

    Odisha Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at Press Club of Odisha on January 7, 2017. Chapter President Mr. Sanjay Kumar Sahoo presided over the meeting that was attended by Organisation Secretary Mr. Sudhansu Kumar Patro, Treasurer Mr. Kishan Barai, Joint Secretary Mr. Ananta Prasad, Mr. Binayak Mishra,  Alumni Mr. Chidananda Jena, Mr. Asit Mohanty, Mr. Jagabandhu Rath, Mr. Ranjan Mohapatra and Mr. Gunamani Biswal. 
    Minutes of the Meeting:
    Connection 2017 at Dhenkanal
    – Connection 2017 of Odisha Cahpter will be held on February 26, 2017 at IIMC, Dhenkanal. Earlier it was scheduled on March 5, 2017 but owing to engagements of our alumni in statewide Biju Patnaik Birth Centenary Celebrations same day, we are advancing the date to February 26. The Central Committee has been informed about the date change and requested to make necessary changes in annual meet calendar.
    Sponsorship Sub Committee
    – Mr. Kishan Barai will coordinate Sponsorship sub-committee. Mr. Sanjay Sahoo and Mr. Jyoti Prakash Mohapatra to guide and support the sub-committee. Members are- Mr. Kishan Barai, Mr. Ananta Prashad, Mr. Kapilendra Pradhan, Mr. Chidananda Jena and Mr. Abinash.
    – Sponsorship Sub-Committee will ensure that all the target organisations are approached by January 20, 2017. They will follow up with the organisation and finalise the sponsorship line up by February 10, 2017.
    Arrangements
    – Mr. Sudhanshu Patro to hire Volvo Bus / Hop-on-Hop-off vehicle for travel of alumni on February 26. He will confirm the same by January 20, 2017.
    – Batch and wrist band to be provided to all alumni. Mr. Ananta Prasad to make necessary arrangements.
    – Mr. Ananta Prasad and Mr. Sudhansu Patro to arrange lunch at the venue and will confirm about the same by January 20.
    – Mr. Sanjay Sahoo & Mr. Jyoti Prakash Mohapatra to arrange guests in consultation with the central committee.
    – A team of following members will visit IIMC Campus one day in Advance to make arrangements:  Mr. Sudhansu, Mr. Deepak, Mr. Raja, Mr. Sandip Sethy, Mr. Santosh, Mr. Jagabandhu, Mr. Binayak & Mr. Ranjan.
    – Mr. Sudhansu, Mr. Raja and Mr. Jagabandhu to arrange bouquet, venue setting, banner etc.
    – The Following members will contact and inform other members for their participation in Connection 2017- Mr. Asit, Mr. Pawan Tiwari, Mr. Ananta Prasad, Mr. Jyoti Prakash, Mr. Kishan, Mr. Raja and Mr. Sudhansu.
    – The following members will be responsible for Stage management and discipline- Mr. Jyoti Prakash, Mr. Durgashish, Mr. Binayak, Ms. Khushboo, Ms. Anwesha and Mr. Kishan.
    – Photography and video recording arrangements to be done by Mr. Ananta Prasad
    – Mr. Jagabandhu, Mr. Kishan and Mr. Charu Chandan will coordinate travel of members to Dhenkanal on February 26, 2017.
    Next meeting will be held on January 22, 2017 at 6.30 PM at Press Club of Odisha to review the preparations.

    Odisha Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association met at Press Club of Odisha on January 4, 2017. Chapter President Mr. Sanjay Kumar Sahoo presided over the meeting that was attended by General Secretary Mr. Jyoti Prakash Mohapatra, Organisation Secretary Mr. Sudhansu Kumar Patro, Treasurer Mr. Kishan Barai, Alumni Mr. Chidananda Jena and Mr. Charu Chandan Das.

    Connection 2017 at Dhenkanal

     

    Date

    Odisha is celebrating Biju Patnaik’s Birth Centenary on March 5, 2017 hence the date of Connection 2017 at Dhenkanal may be shifted in consultation with the Central Committee. Two Volvo bus will be arranged for alumni from Bhubaneswar to Dhenkanal and return.

     

    Outline of the programme flow

    11.00 AM- 13.00 PM- Meeting

    13.00 PM- 14.30 PM- Lunch

    14.30 PM- 17.00 PM- Cultural / DJ Programme

     

    Organising Committee

    A committee has been formed with following members: Mr. Jyotiprakash Mohapatra, Mr. Sudhansu Patro, Mr. Kishan Barai, Mr. Chidananda Jena, Mr. Charu Chandan Das, Mr. Binayak, Ms. Sasmita, Ms. Itishree, Mr. Ananta, Mr. Satya Mallick, Mr. Rakesh Mohanty, Mr. Jajati Karan, Ms. Kasturi Ray and Ms. Sarda Lahangir.

     

    The first meeting of the organising committee will take place at 6 PM on 7th January, 2017 at Press Club of Odisha. Mr. Sudhansu Patro to coordinate the meeting.

     

    Sponsorship

    Chapter will try to raise as much sponsorship as possible to host the Connections 2017 successfully. Responsibility will be assigned to organising committee members at the next meeting.

     

    Bank Account of Chapter

    A separate bank account of the chapter will be opened in consultation with the Central Committee. Mr. Sudhansu Patro and Mr. Kishan Barai to do the needful.

     

    Membership Drive

    The Chapter will have a membership drive to formally enrol all alumni present in Odisha. All alumni are requested to enrol themselves along with annual membership fee. A detailed plan regarding membership drive will be shared soon.

    IIMC Alumni Association will felicitate alumni teachers under Campus Wale Teachers theme at the Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2017.

     

    IIMCAA will felicitate its alumni serving in academic division of any Public or Private Educational Institute on full time basis in any stream. Alumni not employed with an institute but adopted teaching as a full time profession will be felicitated as well. Alumni working in different sectors but teaching as an expert visiting faculty will not be considered.

    FB Series of an alumni shall chronicle profile in approximately 300 words covering journey before & after IIMC and life as a teacher with at least four photographs (profile, class, awards etc).

     

    Frequency of publication of profiles on social media will depend on the number of entries we receive from alumni or on behalf of alumni. Alumni may write for themselves or rope in other alumni to pen down their profile.   • Checklist | IIMCAA Awards 2017

    Dear IIMCians,
    It is important to adhere to each and every condition of the IIMCAA Awards 2017 to ensure your entries are shortlisted for evaluation by jury. We would like to request to all prospective applicants to read rules and criteria of the awards carefully before sending entries. Here is the link of notification of the IIMCAA Awards 2017.
    Checklist for IIMCAA Awards 2017
    All Categories
    – PG Diploma holder of IIMC. Details of academic session, department and campus.
    – Two references of class/ batch with their mobile number and email id
    – Brief essay to justify entry for the award
    – Applicant to submit an undertaking to authorise IIMCAA to use applicant's name, photograph, organisation's name and their entries for promoting the Awards in all communication medium
    – Organisational nomination should be backed by Head of the department or competent authority
    – One applicant, one entry, one season
    – Entries acceptable only in PDF, JPEG, PPT, Web URL Link format
    – Applicant to provide a suitable translation in English or Hindi if language of content is other than Hindi or English
    Categories of Reporting- Agricultural, Investigative, Developmental and Political
    – Recommendation letter from the Head of the organisation/ Reporting Manager/ Two peers are required if entry lacks byline or explicit credit to the applicant
    Categories of Production- Print, Broadcast and Digital
    – Letter of the Editor/ Competent Authority explicitly nominating the applicant for the award
    Print Production
    – Extra weightage will be given to special pages
    – Advertorials/ Sponsored pages will not qualify
    Broadcast Production
    – Content must be of minimum 10 minutes duration & produced for half an hour wheel only
    – Entry must be sent with an additional 3 minutes summarized capsule of the entry
    – Online Video/ Audio link
    – Must not be in violation of copyright laws
    – Astrology/ Call in shows do not qualify
    Digital Production
    – Applicant should be directly involved in ideation, creation and managing the site/ page/section
    – Additional innovations made for the said site on mobile and/ or app will be considered favourably
    – Work entered should have some innovation or introduction of new feature in the date range 01-01-2015 to 31-12-2016 
    – Must be accompanied by screenshots.
    Categories of Public Relations and Corporate Communications
    – A campaign can’t be entered for two different categories. If an alumnus of agency and another of client side send the same campaign for two different categories, the entry received first will be considered.
    Public Relations
    – Entries from alumni at any agency will be accepted only.
    Corporate Communications
    – Entries from alumni at any corporate will be accepted only.
    – Entry can be for one or more of the following sub categories- Crisis Communication, Internal Communication, Communication to bring about any social change outside and External communication to achieve a perception shift 
    Category of Advertising
    – Entry format must be JPEG for print, Online link for TVC/ Radio Spots, AV Presentation/ PPT for Digital campaign or campaigns involving more than one creative
