The Central Committee met on Sunday, September 1 at The Press Club of India, New Delhi. The meeting was presided over by Rakesh Kumar Das, Senior most Alumni present in the meeting. Those attended the meeting were: Rakesh Kumar Das, Sandeep Jha, Ritesh Verma, Rahul Sharma, Amit Kanaujia, Saurabh Dwivedi, Himanshu Shekhar, Neha Keshri, Mohit Agarwal, Deepti Gahrotra, Soumika Das, Sugam Singhal & Nikita Arora.
Meeting minutes:
Reporting of Activities– Organisation Secretary Ritesh Verma briefed the meeting about collection camps for Uttarakhand Flood Victims & Meeting of Rajasthan and Punjab-Haryana-Himachal Chapter.
Annual General Meeting (AGM): It was decided that the AGM would be held on 20th October, 2013, Sunday at the IIMC Headquarters in New Delhi. The tentative Agenda of the AGM is:

• A review of the past year 
• Prize distribution of the IIMC Paper Reading Competition – The winner in each category will present their paper at the AGM, each candidate will be given 10 minutes for the same
• Fresher’s Welcome
• Membership Drive
• Putting up a stall to sell T-Shirts & Kurtis, to raise funds
• It was also suggested that two Senior ex IIMCians be invited to hold talks on the topic ‘Gearing up for a challenging Media Environment and Job Market’
• Finance Committee will take call on Budget.

IIMC Paper Reading Competition: It was decided that the IIMC Paper Reading Competition would be announced on the 11st of September and entries will be accepted till the 6th October 2013. Format for sending in the entries will be .doc and for the entires in the Odia category may be scanned and uploaded. The Central Committee is in the process of looking for print partnerships for the competition, so that we are able to get the winning papers published. In which case the competition will be jointly judged by an IIMC faculty, nominated by the respective department and a external evaluator from the print partner. However should the print partnership not fall through, the former will evaluate all the papers. There will be 1 winner in each of the 4 categories- English, Hindi, Odia and campaign and the winners shall be awarded cash prizes on the AGM. Finance Committee will take call on Budget.
T-shirts, Kurtis: Members of the CC have already started placing their orders for the T-shirts and Kurtis. I request all others to please place their orders before the 5th September. There by allowing us to timely place an order with the vendor, so that all of you can get your T-shirts and Kurtis before the AGM.
Creative Works- 4 Aana has been appointed Creative Agency for IIMCAA. It will take care of all creative needs of the Association.

Punjab-Himachal-Haryana Chapter met on Saturday (August 31) at Elante Mall, Chandigarh. It met second time since its inception. Meeting was presided over by President Ms. Alice Guram. Those present at the meeting were:

Meeting minutes:

Reshuffling of posts: As five members (Saurabh Dwivedi, Gunjan Sangwan, Kuldeep Mishra, Radhe Krishan & Inderjeet Yadav) have already moved to other locations, and two others (Gajendra Singh Bhati and Chaudhary Prashant Chahal) are likely to shift to other places, It was mandatory to make a reshuffling in the current hierarchy. So the following changes have been made with the consensus of present members:

–       Alice Guram- President

–       Hindol Basu, Isha Jalan, Annesha Barua- V. Presidents

–       Parveen K Dogra- General Secretary

–       Rajat Sain- Organising Secretary

–       Mahendra Kumar- Treasurer

–       Dadan Vishwakarma- in-charge (Haryana sub-chapter)

–       Rohan Kathpalia- in-charge (Punjab sub chapter)

–       Divya Goel, Lata Kashyap, Hemant Rana, Atish Sharma: Executive Members

Striding towards an active chapter: It has been noted that Punjab-Himachal-Haryana Chapter could not hold regular meetings, and it’s important to be in touch. So it was made clear to all that it’s not a responsibility of an individual to call for a meeting. Every member needs to be in touch and take responsibility.

Ideas on social work invited: Taking a cue from Central Committee's Uttrakhand victims help drive, CPHH chapter will also think over working on such social causes. All the members looked interested and shared several ideas.

T-shirts, Kurtis: As it’s a matter of person to person size and colour preferences, respected members have been asked to visit IIMCAA's Facebook Page where details of the merchandise are available. Interested members will send their preference to the General Secretary and a collective order will be placed.
