  • IMP: CC Meeting on August 11 at IIMC HQ at 1.00 PM

    Dear IIMCians,

    Monthly meeting of the Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association will take place on August 11, 2013 at 1.00 PM at IIMC Headquarter, New Delhi.
    It was delayed by one week this month to focus our page and associated groups on Odisha Chapter's Big Event on August 4 in Bhubaneshwar on Odia Journalism Day.
    Agenda of the meeting are as follows:-
    1. Reporting of activites
    2. Review of Membership Drive
    3. Opinions of Chaptesr/ Sub Chapters over formation of National Council
    4. Competition for new batch and partners & sponsors for the same
    5. Collection camp of cloths and utensils for Uttarakhand Flood Victims
    6. Any unlisted issue raised by CC Members

  • MoM: Andhra Pradesh Chapter Meeting | 14 July, 2013

    Dear IIMCians,

    Fourth meeting of IIMCAA, AP Chapter was held on 14th July, 2013 at HUDA Park, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad. It was attended by President Byomakesh Biswal, General Secretary Rajesh Parida, Niharkant Panda, Shantiswarup Samantaray, Treasurer Abinash Mohapatra, Executive member Jayanta Sahu and Organisation Secretary Rakesh Mohanty.

    1) The meeting reviewed the membership drive of the chapter and decided to speed up the drive.
    2) Since one of the executive member of the chapter, Vinit Koneru moved to another state recently, the meeting has nominated Niharkanta Panda (TV Capsule course-2003) Mobile Number: 09440563185, Email: nihar.pnd@gmail.com as the new executive member in his place.
    3) A joint bank account has been opened by the chapter to deposit the membership fee and money generated through other means. The details of the bank account is as follows:

    6) A brief presentation was given by President Byomakesh Biswal on online journalism. The chapter also decided to take up similar knowledge sharing initiatives.
    7) In order to broaden the activities of the alumni, the meet has decided to create course modules on different aspects of journalism and share it with aspiring journalists studying in different institutes in the state. 
    8) The meet also considered a proposal to form a cricket team and participate in matches with other media organizations.

  • Odisha Get Together & Odia Journalism Celebrations on August 4

    Dear IIMCians,

    This is a formal mail on behalf of the IIMC Alumni Association, Odisha Chapter to have a grand Get Together on August 4th, Sunday in Bhubaneswar. 

    The state Chapter will celebrate this day as "Odia Journalism Day" (Utkal Deepika, 1st Odia Newspaper started its publication on this day) officially starting from this year. 

    This is a historical moment and our chapter is going to celebrate it for the first time.
