We held fourth meeting of IIMCAA Maharashtra chapter at 3 PM on 23 March at El Cafe, Dadar (E) station. Fifteen members turned up for the meeting, with special representation of Deepak Sinha from the Pune sub-chapter.
The following business was conducted as per the agenda of the meeting:
1. Felicitated two Campus Wale Couples (CWCs) residing in Mumbai.
Himanshu & Sayantani and Prithviraj & Simrata,
We decided to felicitate another couple Pragya and Vipin at their residence as Pragya is unwell and can't attend the meeting.
2. We discussed about membership activity and initiation of the membership drive. It was suggested by the members present in the meeting to recommend the names of two alumni known to them in Mumbai as a part of incorporating new members in the IIMCAA family. The objective is to ensure large participation of members in the various activities that the chapter proposes to do going forward in Maharashtra. We decided to start as we receive forms from central committee.
3. We mooted the proposal of hosting talk series, both through physical lecture and multimedia tools. Suggestions from Deepak, who has experience of working with INK Talks was valuable.
3. Progress of Pune sub chapter was monitored with representation from Deepak, who had come all the way from Pune. The close knit Pune sub chapter has done two meetings and is well settled now. They are looking forward to be part of the membership drive.
4. We were proud to host Mini Rebeiro, who is a well known theatre personality in Mumbai and an alumnus of the 1988 batch, Delhi campus.
5. All members suggested a larger outing over a period of 2-3 months, while regular monthly meetings will continue. We are discussing the option of a larger get together of the alumni from Mumbai and Pune with their families. For such large outings members have agreed to share the cost of food and hospitality that will be rented.
6. The Amravati campus visit plan could not materailise as students left for Delhi. It has been decided that chapter officials will visit the campus at the beginning of the new batch.
