    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: ANY GRADUATE 

    DESK: 

    Copy Editors (up to 2 yrs)
    Senior Copy Editors (2-6 yrs)
    Chief Copy Editors! Assistant Editors (7-10 yrs) 
    Must have a good news judgement and an excellent command of the English language News! stories, editing Copies, and special news packages. Responsibilities include prioritizing & coordinating with Reporters, designers, photographers as well as with other editions. Working within the specified deadlines. Strong people management skills for senior roles.

    REPORTERS: 
    Correspondent/ Senior Correspondent (2-5 yrs )

    Principal Correspondent (5-7 yrs)
    Special Correspondent (8-10 yrs) 

    Should have a keen sense of news and an ability to release exciusives. 
    Should be well networked and have a good hold on the current happenings.     
    A Degree! diploma in journalism would be an added advantage.     

    DESIGNERS: (5-10 yrs) 
    Extensive experience in the field of design, preferably media.     
    Knowledge of software such as lndesign, Corel Draw, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and web design packages is essential.     

    PHOTOGRAPHER: (5-10 yrs) 
    The candidate must be able to produce exclusive photographs     
    He/she will be responsible for newsworthy photographs across areas like politics, sports, entertainment and culture.

  • J&K govt identifies land for IIMC in Jammu

    JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir government on Sunday identified land for establishing a branch of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) here.
    Chairing the Jammu District Development Board meeting here, chief minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday approved 88 kanals (1.1 Acres) land for the purpose.
    Minister for Higher Education Abdul Ghani Malik told PTI, “After preparing detailed project report, the Government will approach Union Government for releasing funds.
    “New academic session will be arranged in rented accommodation in Jammu till the construction of the building is completed. The issue of classes would come in the meeting tomorrow,” he said.
    Applications for 15 seats of the course in the state branch stand advertised by IIMC New Delhi and classes are scheduled to start in the last week of July.
    IIMC has approved four new regional centres — Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Mizoram and Maharashtra. The Institute presently has branches in New Delhi and Dhenkanal in Orissa.

As you may be aware, is a leading international think tank on sustainable development, and carries out extensive research in the realms of energy, energy efficiency, climate change, environment and biodiversity.Established in 1974, TERI has sprawling campuses and research centres in New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Goa as well as the U.S.A, U.K., Japan and Malaysia, and is led by chairman of the UN-IPCC, Dr. R.K.
