Participate Now | ICSSR Survey Questionnaire: Working Journalists Wages and Related Issues
Dear all,Greetings!
Hope you are doing good, both personally and professionally amidst the unprecedented challenges posed by Covid-19.
To share with you, currently I am doing a seminal research on the News Media Sector on “Wages and related issues” concerning the working journalists for the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The proposed merger of The Working Journalists and other Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) and Miscellaneous Provisions act, 1955 with Labour law (Occupational, Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, also known as the OSH Code within the Labour law) has received critical response from various journalists’ associations. I would like to know your views on this and other related issues also in your individual capacity.
May I request the working journalists among you, who are employed in print, electronic and digital media, to please fill in the questionnaire given below and send it as indicated. I shall appreciate, if you encourage your other colleagues to also fill in the questionnaire. The more the response, the better would be the understanding on this vexed issue and a possible intervention at the policy level.
Click here for Questionnaire for Working Journalist and submit the same after the completion.https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfiOD0JsAgX7HK_pyUIcdy-qWmZCV-yIk5DsIOePoKbgVP4eg/viewformLook forward to receiving your response in a week’s time.
Stay safe. Take care.
