  • Ommcom News – IIMCAA Digital Media Awards

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association in association with Ommcom News is launching Ommcom News – IIMCAA Digital Media Awards for students of IIMC, Dhenkanal.

    Ommcom News is a media house established and being led by 1996-97 Batch alumni Mr. Jajati Karan. Jajati has won several prestigious journalism awards including Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards in 2011, IFFCO IIMCAA Awards for Digital Production (Content) in 2019 and Documentary Film Making in 2020.

    Toppers of Digital Journalism Paper of English and Odia Journalism at IIMC, Dhenkanal will be awarded with Ommcom News – IIMCAA Digital Media Awards every year at Connections in Delhi/ Dhenkanal/ Bubaneswar or a city hosting annual alumni meet and convenient for winners to attend.

    Ommcom News – IIMCAA Digital Media Awards Winners will receive 5000 INR cheque, trophy and certificate.

  • Manoj Ojha is Coordinator- IIMCAA, Canada Chapter

  • IMP Notice – IIMC Alumni Meet Connections 2020

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association's Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2020 Kochi and Kottayam on March 21, Bengaluru on March 22, Aizawl on March 28 and Dhaka on April 4 stand cancelled. Respective chapters have called off these meets due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

    Plans to launch Connections in New York, Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Toronto, Bonn and Accra this year, are also put on hold for now.

    If situation permits in the coming months, a decision may be taken regarding rescheduling cancelled or postponed meets including Patna, Jaipur, Bhopal, Raipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dubai and Kathmandu.

    IIMCAA has two further meets planned, one in Singapore on March 22 and the second in Ranchi on April 4. The Central Committee and the chapters are monitoring the situation closely before taking a call on these meets. All alumni will be notified with further updates.

    IIMCAA urges all its members to follow the guidelines issued by the WHO as well as by their own local governments. Please wash your hands often, practice social distancing and keep safe !

  • IIMCAA Scholarships: List of 27 Students Getting Scholarships at Connections 2020

    Dear IIMCians,

    IIMC Alumni Association, with the support of alumni and well wishers, is announcing winners of 27 IIMCAA Scholarships 2020 meant for IIMC students of PG Diploma Courses of 2019-20 batch. 

    IIMCAA Scholarship Committee led by Mr. Anuranjan Jha has selected the beneficiaries of scholarships at its meeting held on January 26, 2020. Other members of the committee are Ms. Nanditta Chibber, IIMCAA Vice Prsident Mr. Madhur Kalra, IIMCAA General Secretary Mr. Harshendra Singh Verdhan and IIMCAA Treasurer Mr. Animesh Biswas.

    IIMCAA Scholarships, of 25000 INR each, will be awarded to students at Annual Alumni Meet- Connections 2020 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on February 9, 2020 at 3 PM. Students of regional campuses will receive their scholarships at the state chapter meets in the coming weeks. Students are requested to attend the meet to receive the scholarships.
