  • Open Appeal | Get A Lowest Quote for IIMCAA Website

    Dear IIMCians,
    We are working hard to get a wonderful & interactive website live for Alumni and Association. We had consulted several designers and received 3 quotations worth 8 Lakhs, 2.20 Lakhs and 1.70 Lakh.
    IIMC Alumni Association has decided to seek help of alumni in getting more quotations and far lowest quote for the same. IIMCAA requests its alumni to help us and connect us with the designer concerned by June 20, 2014 at alumni.iimc@gmail.com.
    IIMCAA shall ink the deal with an agency with lowest quote by end of the month.

  • MoM | CC Meeting | 8 June, 2014

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association met at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on June 8, 2014. Vice President Mr. Apurva Chamaria presided over the meeting that was attended by Treasurer Mr. Gaurav Dikshit, Organisation Secretary Mr. Ritesh Verma, CC Members Mr. Amit Kanaujia, Mr. Rahul Sharma, Ms. Nikita Arora & Mr. Smrithin Satishan. Organisation Secretary of Maharashtra Chapter Mr. Krishna Pophale, Alumni Mr. Ankit Roy, Mr. Akram Shakeel, Ms. Kamini Patil, Ms. Prashanti Choiden Moktan also attended the meeting.
    A run down of the activities discussed is mentioned below: 
    1. Review of Activities- IIMC Alumni Association ran a series on its counselling blog for students appearing for the entrance exam this year. Around 3 dozen alumni contributed for the series.
    2. Review of Membership Drive- Membership drive is not picking up. CC is waiting for the website to give it a fresh push.
    3. Review of Website Work- IIMC Alumni Association has consulted several designers to design its website. It has received three quotations so far worth 8 Lakhs, 2.20 Lakh & 1.70 Lakh. CC has decided to make the website features public to seek help of alumni in getting the lowest and most competitive quotations. CC shall close the deal within the next fortnight.
    4. IIMCAA Elections 2014- CC has authorized V-President Mr. Apurva Chamaria, Organisation Secretaries Mr. Harshendra Verdhan & Mr. Ritesh Verma to consult promising alumni for the panel to be proposed by current team for next term.

  • IMP | Madhya Pradesh Chapter Meets on June 8 in Bhopal

    Dear IIMCians,
    Madhya Pradesh Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association will hold a meeting on Sunday, June 8 at Indian Coffee House, Board Office, MP Nagar, Zone 1, Bhopal at 3.00 PM. 
    All the alumni present in the city & around are requested to kindly mark their presence. IIMC Connections 2014 souvenir will be distributed in the meeting. 
    A database, as was decided earlier,  will be uploaded on the Facebook group of the chapter before the meeting. 
    We could discuss more on expanding our network in the state in addition to get together at a regular interval.

  • CC Response to Issues Raised by Mr. Abhishek Parashar, HJ, 2009-10 Batch

    Dear IIMCians,
    The Central Committee of IIMC Alumni Association deliberated on the issues raised by Mr. Abhishek Parashar, HJ, 2009-10 Batch in the last meeting on May 4, 2014 at IIMC HQ, New Delhi. 
    CC officials had requested him to attend the meeting to discuss the issues but he chose not to attend. Hence all the issues raised by him were discussed in his absence. 
    Responses to Mr. Parashar's questions are being provided in Hindi as the issues were raised originally in Hindi. 
    Alumni with similar questions/ allegations/ queries may consider these responses as an official statement. Responses are open to criticism but not for further conversation.
    सवाल 1- ईमका छात्र हित का दावा करता है लेकिन छात्रों के लिए काम नहीं करता ?
    जवाब– ईमका एलुम्नाई यानी पूर्व छात्रों का संगठन है. इसके द्वारा छात्र हित में कभी कोई दावा या वादा न तो किया गया है और न आगे किया जाएगा. इस मसले पर पहले भी कई बार कहा गया है कि छात्र हित के लिए काम करने की चाहत रखने वाले एलुम्नाई या छात्र एक या अनेक संगठन बना सकते हैं. 
    सवाल 2- ईमका के लिए क्या कैंपस वाले कपल और कैंपस वाले राइटर्स ही एलुम्नाई हैं ?
    जवाब– ईमका अपने सालाना एलुम्नाई मीट के लिए एक थीम चुनता है. इस आयोजन के दो साल हुए हैं. पहले साल कैंपस वाले कपल्स और दूसरे साल कैंपस वाले राइटर्स थीम पर आयोजन हुआ. अगले साल का थीम कैंपस वाले एंटरप्रेन्योर है. आगे कुछ और होगा. इस तरह का प्रमाण पत्र बांटने के लिए कुछ साल इंतजार करना चाहिए.
    सवाल 3- क्या ईमका नेटवर्किंग का मंच है ?
    जवाब– ईमका शुद्ध रूप से नेटवर्किंग फोरम है. ईमका देश की राजनीति बदलने के लिए नहीं बना है. देश की तमाम समस्याओं पर चिंता करना ईमका की जिम्मेदारी भी नहीं है. इसका एकमात्र मकसद है आईआईएमसी के एलुम्नाई एक-दूसरे को जानें और आपस में मिलते-जुलते रहें. ईमका के कार्यक्रम सिर्फ उस मकसद को ध्यान में रखकर ही किए जाते हैं.
    सवाल 4- एलुम्नाई मीट में बहुत लोग आते हैं लेकिन शोकसभा में नहीं ?
    जवाब– ईमका के हर आयोजन की सूचना गूगल ग्रुप, फेसबुक और ब्लॉग के माध्यम से दी जाती है. ये एलुम्नाई तय करते हैं कि वो किस आयोजन में आएंगे और किसमें नहीं. एलुम्नाई के आने या न आने की जवाबदेही ईमका पर नहीं डाली जा सकती है. ये एलुम्नाई का व्यक्तिगत मसला है कि वो ईमका के किस कार्यक्रम में आना चाहता है और किस कार्यक्रम में शामिल नहीं होना चाहता है.
    सवाल 5- ईमका के चैप्टर क्या करते हैं कि एलुम्नाई के निधन पर शोकसभा में देरी होती है ?
    जवाब– ईमका ने स्व. सागर मिश्रा के निधन पर शोकसभा का आयोजन यूपी चैप्टर के मरिंद्र मिश्रा से सूचना मिलने के तत्काल बाद किया. एक संगठन पांच घंटे में शोकसभा नहीं बुला सकता. यूपी चैप्पटर से सूचना मिलने के दो दिन बाद शोकसभा का आयोजन किया गया. ईमका या उसके चैप्टर आईबी या रॉ के नेटवर्क नहीं हैं कि हर एलुम्नाई के पीछे उनके जासूस लगे हैं और हर एलुम्नाई के बारे में हर सेकेंड की जानकारी आती रहती है. ये एलुम्नाई नेटवर्क है. किसी भी एलुम्नाई के बारे में अच्छी या बुरी खबर संगठन तक पहुंचने में महत्वपूर्ण बात ये भी है कि वो एलुम्नाई खुद भी ईमका या उसके चैप्टर के लोगों से कितना जुड़ा रहता है. 
    सवाल 6- छात्रों को नौकरी और इंटर्नशिप नहीं दिलाते ?
    जवाब- ईमका छात्रों का संगठन नहीं है. ये प्लेसमेंट एजेंसी भी नहीं है इसलिए प्लेसमेंट या इंटर्नशिप का काम नहीं करता. ये पूर्व छात्रों का नेटवर्किंग फोरम है. इसके बावजूद 2013 में प्लेसमेंट के लिए 14 कंपनियों की तरफ से कुछ ऑफर आईआईएमसी को भेजे गए थे लेकिन उस पर छात्रों की प्रतिक्रिया निराशाजनक रही इसलिए ये तय हुआ है कि ईमका प्लेसमेंट और इंटर्नशिप से बिल्कुल बाहर रहेगा.
    सवाल 7- पूर्व छात्र संघर्ष कर रहे हैं और ईमका कुछ नहीं कर रहा ?
    जवाब- ईमका न नौकरी देता है और न नौकरी पर रखता है. एलुम्नाई के संघर्ष में ईमका की भूमिका इससे ज्यादा कुछ नहीं है कि वो विविध आयोजनों के जरिए संघर्षरत एलुम्नाई को अपेक्षाकृत सफल एलुम्नाई से मिलने या बात करने का मंच तैयार करे. ईमका के अंदर और बाहर सारे एलुम्नाई करियर में संघर्ष कर रहे हैं और संघर्ष के ही रास्ते आगे बढ़ रहे हैं. किसी एलुम्नाई की सफलता या विफलता में ईमका कारक नहीं है. ये एलुम्नाई की अपनी सफलता या विफलता है कि वो संघर्ष में आगे बढ़ रहा है या पीछे छूट रहा है.
    सवाल 8- ईमका से पूर्व छात्र क्यों नहीं जुड़ पा रहे ?
    जवाब-आईआईएमसी के एलुम्नाई लंबे समय से एक संगठन चाहते थे और ईमका उस दिशा में काम कर रहा है. 50 साल पुराने संस्थान के दो साल पुराने एलुम्नाई एसोसिएशन से बहुत सारी अपेक्षा नहीं रखनी चाहिए. पूर्व छात्र जुड़ रहे हैं इसलिए दो साल में कई आयोजन हुए हैं. कई चैप्टर काम कर रहे हैं. ईमका जोड़ने निकला है तो जितने लोग जुड़ रहे हैं वही हमारी उपलब्धि है. चैप्टर में जो भी और जितना भी काम हो रहा है वो एक उपलब्धि है.
    वैसे ईमका भी चिंतित हैं कि कई एलुम्नाई आयोजन में नहीं आते. 2014 के एलुम्नाई मीट में करीब 800 एलुम्नाई आए लेकिन 200 से कुछ ही ज्यादा ने रजिस्ट्रेशन कराया और सदस्यता तो दर्जन भर लोगों ने ही ली. ये एलुम्नाई की व्यक्तिगत आजादी का मसला है. ईमका के अंदर इस मुद्दे पर काफी बात होती है और हर बार ये मान लिया जाता है कि एलुम्नाई अपनी पसंद और सुविधा से ही आएंगे. ईमका का सदस्य होना एलुम्नाई होने की कोई पात्रता नहीं है. एलुम्नाई होना ईमका का सदस्य होने की अनिवार्यता है.
