    There is a very sad news in our Pune IIMC Alumni family. One of Neha's family member left us suddenly. Hence the scheduled meeting at her residence on Sunday, June 16, 2013 stands cancelled. The inconvenience is deeply regretted.

    PTI is looking for experienced, dynamic and result oriented journalists for its English service. Journalists with proven skills are required for the following posts, most of them in Delhi. 
    • 1.    News Coordinators 

      Must have at least 6 years’ experience in mainline English media in editing and handling news desk operations. They will be required to coordinate news coverage with outstation PTI bureaux. Age not more than 35 years.

      2.    Copy Editors/Rewrite persons 

      Must have at least 5 years’ experience in mainline English media. Proficiency in English language and good re-writing skills are a must. Age not more than 33 years.

      3.    Senior Correspondents / Reporters 

      Must have at least 5 years’ experience of which minimum 4 years in field reporting in mainline English media. Age not more than 35 years.

      4.    Probationary Journalists 

      Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience in mainline journalism. Age not over 25 years.

      Minimum qualification for the above posts is a degree/diploma in journalism with minimum 50% marks. Candidates with news agency background will be given preference. Application forms can be downloaded from PTI website www.ptinews.com.

    " I propose we all gather by 6:30 PM for a plentiful evening till post dinner desserts. The primary agenda of the meeting is to sit down and have fun, rest should be to continue with the membership drive and to find out ways to make these meetings more alluring for chronic non-attendees. We can also start off with the blog as discussed in the last meeting, with members and their families contributing in it.     About the 2013 fellowship

    The 2013 USC Annenberg/Getty Arts Journalism Program is a fellowship for arts, culture and entertainment editors, producers and writers. During this intense ten-day program, fellows will attend performances and exhibitions, and visit private studios, rehearsal rooms, architectural firms and art schools for behind-the-scenes opportunities to meet renowned artists, arts directors, curators, administrators and accomplished journalists. There will also be a Think & Do workshop in conjunction with the Annenberg Innovation Lab, and other opportunities for balancing meaningful face-to-face dialogue with skill-building practice.

    Fifteen arts journalists who bring distinction to the field will be chosen from the international applicant pool. The fellowship accepts applicants who practice journalism online and in print, radio and/or television. Their areas of expertise may include architecture, literature, film, pop culture, the visual and performing arts. They can be critics or reporters or bloggers, and generalists or specialists. Staff journalists, affiliated freelancers and independents are welcome to apply. The fellowship is also interested in journalists who are artists.
